I find it interesting that a “random man” from 2,000 years ago has managed to occupy so much of your time. Do you throw a party every time the mailman delivers your mail?Jesus to me is someone who only lived 2,000 years ago but is probably one of the most misunderstood people in history. There has been so much said that it is probably impossible to know the real character of the man and his life.
I only see him as a man as I can’t make the leap - which seems like fantasy - to him being a son of a deity. That just seems a step to far. Or that he rose from the dead.
Second person, actually. Father = first; Holy Spirit = third.
Yes yes - I know this. That’s what I get for posting when I’m too tired to see straight. :whacky:Jesus is the SECOND person of the trinity.
Did you know how important it is to know Jesus? In this Sunday’s R.C.I.A. session, I will pose the same question that Jesus asked Peter, *“Who do you say I am”? *What would be your response to Jesus’ question? Perhaps I can share it with the class.
well, there is that whole bridegroom of the soul symbolism…I treat him as a best friend and lover. Him and the Father - I treat them both as my lovers and call them beautiful. The Holy Spirit too! (but that is already implied). Here I’d like to quote Mary, from Revelations of Saint Bridget: “Praise be to you, my son, you who are without beginning or end! You had a most noble and handsome body…”
I personally am excited, friend, that I will someday get to see his glorified body in Heaven.well, there is that whole bridegroom of the soul symbolism…
It takes up my time because people close to me are affected by catholicismI find it interesting that a “random man” from 2,000 years ago has managed to occupy so much of your time. Do you throw a party every time the mailman delivers your mail?
If Jesus asked me this, I would say, “you are my Lord and my God.”In this Sunday’s R.C.I.A. session, I will pose the same question that Jesus asked Peter, *“Who do you say I am”? *What would be your response to Jesus’ question? Perhaps I can share it with the class.
