No, “The Word became flesh.” (John 1:14)
I know this. The first chapter of John also gets into this mess. Jesus Christ is begotten in “the express image of His Father.” If both are The Word, John 1:14, wouldn’t help in explaining Isaiah 44:6, Rev 1:6 or Rev chpt 4 & 5. 🙂

Who is 'King of Kings and Lord of Lords?
Hi

I think God Allah YHWH is “King of Kings and Lord of Lords”. It is very much mentioned in Quran:

[3:24] Dost thou not know of those who have been given their portion of the Book? They are called to the Book of Allah that it may judge between them, but a party of them turn away in aversion.

[3:25] That is because they say, ‘The Fire shall not touch us, except for a limited number of days.’ And what they used to forge has deceived them regarding their religion.

[3:26] How will they fare when We will gather them together on the Day about which there is no doubt; and when every soul shall be paid in full what it has earned, and they shall not be wronged?

[3:27] Say, ‘O Allah, Lord of sovereignty, Thou givest sovereignty to whomsoever Thou pleasest; and Thou takest away sovereignty from whomsoever Thou pleasest. Thou exaltest whomsoever Thou pleasest and Thou abasest whomsoever Thou pleasest. In Thy hand is all good. Thou surely hast power to do all things**.

[3:28] ‘Thou makest the night pass into the day and makest the day pass into the night. And Thou bringest forth the living from the dead and bringest forth the dead from the living. And Thou givest to whomsoever Thou pleasest without measure.’

[3:29] Let not the believers take disbelievers for friends in preference to believers — and whoever does that has no connection with Allah — except that you cautiously guard against them. And Allah cautions you against His punishment; and to Allah is the returning.

[3:30] Say, ‘Whether you conceal what is in your breasts or reveal it, Allah knows it; and He knows whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth. And Allah has power to do all things.’

This is my opinion; others could believe differently, no compulsion.

Thanks

You are completely ignoring 1 Timothy 6:15-16.

Ministers are admonished not to write sermons based on Revelation until late in their career.
I didn’t ignore it. I pointed out that Jesus is God, and that verse does not say the Father.

No, because the Father did not become flesh. You guys are trying to crack the mystery of the Holy Trinity! I thought this was a simple question!

Verses 15 and 16 refer to one who no man has seen or can see. This is not Jesus who has been seen by thousands of men and women. I did not say that the verse said Father, but I also believe that Jesus did not worship two Gods. Jesus said hear O Israel the Lord our God is one Lord…

And why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? Lk 1:43
Who is Elizabeth’s Lord and can she serve two masters?

Also my question about whether you believed Revelation was inspired and inerrant was never answered.

God bless

Boy, that took a long time…

She meant her King.

It seems like it is inspired and inerrant, but how could it be tested?

What took a long time?

What do you mean “she meant her king”?

Do you consider Revelation to be inspired by God and inerrant?

Revelation seems to be inspired and inerrant, but it is not at all easy to interpret, is it?

They were all expecting the comming of a messiah because they were under roman oppression.

It seems to be inspired? Are you affiliated with a denomination? Would you be willing to tell me what denomination? You of course don’t have to, but I think it would help me a great deal in trying to understand where you are coming from if I knew.

So, Elizabeth was wrong when she stated that Mary was the Mother of her Lord?

God bless

I am trying to understand the second vision that I had. In the first vision, I ‘re-lived’ my birth. The second vision that I had, was followed by a dream, consisting of ‘riddles’. I was awakened from the dream, and using my thoughts, told to write the dream down. It took over 2 1/2 years for the total dream to be revealed unto me. The second vision was as follows;

I was alone in my office, sitting on a couch, when I began to pray. Up to this time, I had no intention of praying. The room filled with pure white clouds. I was fully awake, and knew where I was, but I could see nothing but the vision. A ‘channel’ opened up in the clouds before me, going up from me to it seemed, forever. I was made aware, that "The Father’ was at the end of this channel, but I could not see Him. I was taken back to the beginning of mankind, and shown the sins of the world. I was very saddened, and in tears, and asked for forgiveness, not only for my sins, but for those of all manknid. Two figures appeared on the right side of the channel (my right), dressed in pure white robes. I could not see their feet, because they were standing in the clouds. Both figures were identical. I recognized the figure closest to the channel, as being Jesus Christ, immediately, but I did not know who the other ‘person’ was. I then remembered, that Jesus is sitting on the right hand of God. Jesus was on the right hand of this person, who I did not know, in my vision. I was then ‘brought into the vision’. I could see myself looking up at the two figures, and towards The Father. The two figures were in total ‘submission’ to The Father. The Father controlled the vision.

I struggled for years, trying to understand who the person was that was on the left hand of Jesus. In the dream that I had, there was a man (I never saw his face, as I was always looking at his chest, when he spoke to me.), and this man told me that there was ‘something broken’, and he asked me if I knew of someone that could fix it. I told him that I would. The dream contained many other things.

The scripture that I mentioned in my previous posts to this thread, was where I was ‘dragged to’. I first listed all of the references to God, Jesus, Father, My Father, etc. I began to see, that these verses didn’t connect very well. The final result, was that this person that I did not recognize, is the same person that no Christian recognizes either. This person, is The Lord God Almighty (The Father’s Son). Christianity has replaced The Lord God Almighty, with His Son, Jesus Christ.

Well, I can’t help you decide whether Revelation is inspired or not. I have never been confirmed in any denomination.

Why would you think that Elizabeth was wrong? I didn’t say that, what she said was very sweet.

Why do you accept other Books as being inspired? What is the standard?

Is there any denomination that you would say closely resembles your beliefs?

I thought that that was what you were implying in your response. I was wrong, I apologize.

God bless

So what makes you believe they are inspired while Revelation only seems to be inspired? What is your standard for determining?

I looked up theosophy, would you say this is a good representation of where you are coming from?

God bless

How can I know definitively about the scriptures? And, Revelation is a book which cannot be compared for inerrantcy. The books of the whole of scripture do contradict each other on various points, but this is a good thing. It shows that they were faithfully copied and not made to agree with each other perfectly. Different witnesses had different views which supports authenticity.

Well, I don’t know which description of theosophy you read. I am most sympatheic with Kabbalah as theosophy, but am not a Kabbalist.

Hmmm :hmmm: Interesting.

I think if we continued this discussion we would throw this thread even further off course.

So, I will allow other posters the opportunity to chime in and get this thread back on course.

By the way, welcome to the CA forums. Hope you enjoy your stay.

God bless.
