I really don’t understand how to find the right place to post what I am looking for, so I hope someone can just help me anyway.

I have a Pieta prayer book (they are really common) and the majority of the private revelation in that book is from Mutter Vogel, but I cannot find out who she is? I have search her on the Internet and asked other forums dedicated to private revelation and no one seems to have any idea.

Does anyone know?

It appears the only thing on the web are quotes from a 1929 book: Mutter Vogel’s Worldwide Love, St. Grignon Publishing House, Altoting, South Germany. The book appears to be a series of private revelations to Mutter Vogel (“Mother Bird” if my German is correct). I can’t tell you if they are approved or not or what they say, so I will reserve comment.

Thank you both!

George, that blog spot was very helpful. Although his opinion of the attack on priests thing was slightly bitter and lacked historical hindsight of so many other Christian books, Saints and mystics who need proper interpretation in order to take it correctly (the Bible is the biggest example), it does seem very convincing that the actual person of “Mutter Vogel” never existed, or possibly it was a pseudonym.

So it was very helpful :o)

She actually existed and was a member of my wife’s family. She is buried at the Waldfriedhof in Munich,Germany. She devoted her life to praying for priests. There was a book written about her life called “Mutter Vogls Weltweite Liebe” first published in 1961 in Germany. Unfortunately it was not translated into English, but we have a copy.
