Eden of Mind:
Shiann, tomorrow, I’ll be securing a copy from the local university library of most of the resources you cited in your responses. I also own another book on the subject already by one of the authors (Peters) that you quoted from. I’ll be pouring over those and over a book on trial records.
Shiann:

If i were you i wouldnt waste another minute with this troll unless he tells us all just what it is he is trying to prove. If you go back to the original posts to this thread it appears he is condemning the Catholic Church as illegitimate becuase it violtaes a Scripture passage about killing the Brethern. There is absolutely NOTHING you can say to this troll that will change his mind-he is not doing research, he is not looking for discussion, he is looking to smear the Chuch we all love.

Sigh. Perhaps you should follow your own advice and give it a rest.

Now, this is curious… You recently mocked me in public for allegedly responding so poorly to Shiann and not taking her work seriously enough. Now, when it is apparent that you spoke too soon, you heave a huge sigh in my direction and ask me to give the whole subject a rest.

Thank you, Mickey. That tells me a good deal about you. Ultimately, I suppose, none of this is really for you as you’ve already made it clear that your heart is your guide in life (Jeremiah 17:9). And, if your heart has convinced you that I am such an enemy of everyone here and that Shiann has so easily refuted the work I’ve done, then I shall leave the LORD to rebuke you…

"Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and let not your heart be glad when he stumbles. . ." (Prov. 24:17)

I suppose that, as your heart seems to be your master, even Scripture will not curb your tongue. I will leave that up for others.

In the meantime, I will explain that you haven’t the slightest notion of what I mean by a “break.” What I meant was that we needed a brief respite from this dialogue for the sake of returning to it later with fresh perspectives and clearer thinking.

That doesn’t mean that, in the next few days, I’m going to be idle.

Well at least you realize Shiann cleaned your clock.

Don’t get angry EOM–you’ve misunderstood me. I simply meant that Shiann exposed your faulty conclusions with thorough refutations and this thread should now be closed. There is nothing more that needs to be said.

You know nothing about me.

Let me get this straight. The Lord will rebuke me because Shiann refuted your false judgements on His True Church?

On the contrary. My heart is extremely heavy that you have denied Christ’s true Church. I would never rejoice in that. For shame EOM! :tsktsk:

“Reason is always a kind of brute force; those who appeal to the head rather than the heart, however pallid and polite, are necessarily men of violence. We speak of ‘touching’ a man’s heart, but we can do nothing to his head but hit it.” –
G. K. Chesterton
