If I were to tell you, why should you believe me (someone you have never met)? I will however advise you to look seriously at Christianity. While there, start with the orginal (first Christian Church). Discover it’s history and follow that history to present day. God bless.

PS - Welcome to the forums! 👋

The one that was founded by Jesus, on Peter. The one with seven sacraments, each one instituted by Jesus. The one that is the largest single faith in the world. The one that brings about the true presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. The one with a clergy that has a clear apostolic succession, from the Apostles to us now. the one that has endured all that time has to offer, and yet, still exists as a mighty sign of God’s presence. The one that the Church Fathers described before all the various denominations began. the one with a leader, the pope, who directs our spiritual attention towards Christ in all that we say and do.

That is the Church you will find in the Bible. That is the Church you should follow.

I think this is a very hard question because for those of us like myself raised in the church we already have our root faith in Christianity. After many years I still have belief in God and Jesus as my basic faith although I don’t believe the bible literally. So…Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John is a great place to start and the 10 commandments must be in almost every religion.

Take the hell ideas out of the gospels. Hell means the common grave or a pit outside of Jerusalem that existed at that time.

Walk with Jesus and you can’t go wrong. Whether he was divine or merely a man, a prophet, is open to each individual’s interpretation. In any case he is a living Spirit now and he is with us if we call upon his name. I pray to God in Jesus name. I don’t understand it but I think of him as divine because he came as an example of God’s love to show us the way.

I’m a believer in a universal God meaning God loves variety and there are many paths by which He may be reached. Nobody holds a license or monopoly on God. Therefore all religions have some truth in them. They are probably all partly right and all partly wrong…lol…because the spirit spoke through the minds of men and the words heard were filtered through men’s minds. They were first oral stories and later written down from memory.

God is beyond all words and beyond all concepts we mere mortals may have of Him. We could only describe God in our own mortal words or like our own human nature because that’s as high as we know or the best we could do.

Personally I believe God is Love and He has no wish that we should suffer here or hereafter. God is good; absolute truth and beauty. He is the ocean and we are the drops in the ocean. We work in partnership with God to create a better world. I don’t believe God has the human emotions of jealousy, anger and hate attributed to him in the Bible especially in the Old T. These writings make God appear to be worse than humanity itself. Impossible! Who would care to worship a God who sounds more evil than ourselves? Not I. It was simply men believing they were winning tribal wars in God’s name the same as the U.S.A. and Iraq today are doing. God bless America. We are winning. Allah bless Iraq. We are winning. God hates war. He isn’t in it.

Good Luck! God give you wisdom to make the right choice.

I would have to say Christianity. After that I would say to Live and worship in the Faith as it comes to us Form Christ through the Apostles. The Holy Roman Catholic Church.

God’s peace be with you.

Hi

Me,you and all should follow the straight path of the righteous ones of the GodAllahYHWH and not of those who who earned His displeasure and not of those who are mislead.

Thanks

There are many paths, but only some of them lead to God. It seems unfair that God, Who is infinitely greater than me, should expect me to find the right path. As the greater it is incumbent on Him to give me guidance.

The only guidance I can find is what He gave through the Hebrew prophets culminating in Jesus. Now, Jesus lived 2000 years ago, spoke to fewer people than live in some of our larger cities, within a region of a hundred miles or so. I hold thatit was incumbent on Him to provide an assured way for His message to reach me. He had to establish an authority to pass the message without error. I don’t think anyone but the Catholic Church claims that authority.

Just be sure to keep in mind that there is Truth in every faith out there. However, some have more truth than others. if you feel like you’ve found truth, don’t stop looking, because, chances are, that you will still find more truth than what you have already found. I know that may sound confusing, but read it over a couple times 😉
