Jesus chose his disciples. Doesn’t that make him responsible for what happens as a result of their actions?#1 the betrayal of judas. #2 somehow, apparently, the jewish authorities became aware of the son of God declaration. jesus chose only three disciples to hear God’s declaration of Jesus’ sonship. and Jesus clearly and emphatically tells them not to reveal that info until the ressurrection. someone must have released that info prematurely.

the only plausible explanation is peter who denied jesus thrice before the cock crowed.(get behind me satan) and he(peter) must have told at least judas who then told the jewish authorities. that’s the basis of the whole story and it all goes back to jesus’ choosing his disciples.

if you have a better idea I’d like to hear it. either it was God’s will. or it was a mistake on the part of jesus. no one who heard that son of God declaration can be blamed because of jesus’ strict instruction not to reveal it.

the pope’s recent book relieving all jews of responsibility for the crucifixion except the jewish authorities of that time should have gone all the way in my view.
