HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all mom’s out there. A few weeks ago I posted a thread Who is your favorite tv dad? Well since today is Mother’s Day, I’ll ask *Who is your favorite tv mom? * I grew up watching many tv shows with moms, married or single, doing their best to raise a family. I like Florida Evans of Good Times and Shirley Partridge of The Partridge Family. There are others as well.

By the way, Shirley Jones turned down the role of Carol Brady in The Brady Bunch, which then went to Florence Henderson.
 
I would vote for Olivia Walton. I also liked Loreli Gilmore; she and Rory were close enough to be best friends and sisters, but when it was time to be MOM, lay down the law or make the hard decisions, she really stepped up.
 
Caroline Ingalls from Little House on the Prairie. She always seemed to have the best advice for her children and others, some of which has helped me out immensely lately.
 
Gemma Teller Morrow. She is known throughout the community for her devotion to her family. She constantly works to promote and protect them, with thoughtful and sometimes imaginative means. Occasionally she lets her emotions get the better of her, but even then she is motivated by love for her family.
 
I also like Olivia Walton.Now I am really going to date myself…Margaret from FatherKnlws Best,June Cleaver and Donna Reed;-)
 
Olivia Walton and Caroline Ingalls are my favorite TV moms. They seem more realistic than most of the others.🙂
 
I like June Cleaver and Aunt Bea (even though technically she wasn’t the mother)! 🙂

Another vote each for Olivia Walton and Lorelai Gilmore.
 
Despite what the show is…I’m going to have to go with Marge Simpson from the earlier Simpsons seasons (1-10).
I thought she was such a great stay at home mom.

I think one of the best would also be Mrs. Huxtable.

I’m 30 years old so these were the moms I remember and loved.
