I found this book on my bookshelf today and I was wondering if anyone had read it and could provide a Catholic prospective on it. The fact that the author allegedly resigned from the priesthood after 12 years and seems to have been going his own way ever since combined with a quote from the National Catholic Reporter praising it on the back cover lead me to think maybe it might be better to skip this one. :sad_yes:

I haven’t read it, but I do recall hearing that it combined heresy and sloppy history in equal measures. I can answer the titular question though,

“Who Killed Jesus?” - You. And me.

I haven’t read it either but I have heard speeches from john Dominick crossam and you gotta be careful with what he says because not everything he says is in line with catholic teaching. I would use precaution reading anything by him.

Mr. Crossan is very definitely not orthodox Christian. Avoid his heresies.

Thanks guys. No offense to Mr. Crossan but I do not think I will be reading his book or even keeping it much longer. 😉

I would pass on anything praised by the National Catholic Reporter. 😛
