I didn’t say Ghandi necessarily had anything good or bad to say. My point was that by your reasoning - because Ghandi died - his words should be elevated in importance. (ie., I was pointing out the false logic in your statement)
If Ghandi had submitted to execution in the spirit of humility and forgiveness,then that *would *have given force to his words.
But then,he did not speak and never could have spoken about love,works of mercy,repentence,and forgiveness as Jesus did,and his words would not themselves have become greater even if he had submitted to execution.
I would propose that what gave Messiah’s words an extra punch (they already had plenty of force just in His speaking them), was His resurrection from the grave.
His submission to death gives extra punch to his teaching on obedience to God,and his forgiveness from the cross of those were putting him to death and mocking him gives extra punch to his teaching on forgiveness.
