Who should play Pope Francis if a movie is made about his life?

I personally think Johnathan Pryce should play Pope Francis should a movie be made about his life, because he has a strong physical resemblance.

Any opinions?
 
Yes, Jonathan Pryce would be a good choice.
And in the role of Benedict XVI, Malcolm McDowell.
 
Alan Rickman, I think, would be more suitably cast as George Pell.

Two others:

Tarcisio Bertone … Harvey Keitel
Reinhard Marx … Jack Black
 
Pope Francis should be played by Christopher Walken.

Also, in the scene where he meets Pope Emeritus Benedict, Benny should be played by Christopher Walken.

And then there is a flashback to Pope St. JPII and you know who would be perfect for that part? Christopher Walken!

For some reason, I think Jon Voight would be a better choice for St. John Paul.
 
I’ll vote for Dominic Chianese who played Uncle Junior in The Sopranos… 😃
 
Anthony Quinn were he still available. After all, he’s experienced: Pope Kiril !
 
Pryce would be my pick as well.

Sadly, the actor he most resembled has passed away, and he was even a Catholic convert.
