I don’t disagree. I just urge caution, comparing a real relationship with its challenges to a hypothetical relationship with a women who has not been available.runningdude said,

I’m not talking about being perfect, I’m talking about how he feels about the two women.
If the OP had to choose one woman to spend the rest of his life on a desert island with, do we think he’d choose his fiancee?
He should end his current relationship only due to the dynamics of the current relationship, rather than make it contingent on someone else being available. I agree very strongly, in fact, with your advice to leave time for healing and reflection following a break up
