Who Wanted to Kill Cain? Who was Cain's wife?

In Genesis 4 is this passage:

13 Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

15 But the Lord said to him, “Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

17 Cain made love to his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch. 18 To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech.

So I have two questions: From what I can see, Cain an Abel are Adam and Eve’s first children. So

1. Who was going to kill Cain? Were there other people on the earth? Where did they come from
2. Who was Cain’s wife and where did she come from? Was she his unnamed sister?

Any clarity on this would be helpful, thanks.

His guilty conscience made him fear his own brothers, and nephews; of whom, by this time, there might be a good number upon the earth: which had now endured near 130 years; as may be gathered from Gen. 5:3, compared with 4:25, though in the compendious account given in the Scripture, only Cain and Abel are mentioned

It doesn’t say … someone was going to kill Cain.

This is a time BEFORE the Mosaic Laws, etc. I.E. any rules relating to Matrimony

It’s understood that Adam and Eve had more Children including daughters…
and from them and others - came wives.

5 And all the time that Adam lived came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.

6 Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos.
