Who was Saint Paul?

Paul is an Apostle of Jesus Christ. He was a Jew, a Roman Citizen, a Rabbi trained in Jerusalem, and though a convert to Christianity, Paul remained faithful to the Mosaic law while at the same time battling Judaizers. It would appear that he was at some point widowed (Rabbis had to be married back in the day, yet from Paul’s writings he appears to be single when he enters the ministry for Christ…so…either widowed or lived without marital relations…a daunting prospect).

It has lots of index and bibliography
Each chapter has scripture references etc.

It is an interesting book about all the apostles and is very documented by the early church fathers statements and history but would take a long time searching it all out.

Were there any spiritual women in Paul’s life?

He had a disciple named Thecla of Iconium, a consecrated virgin who the Church venerates as a Saint (in the East she is called “Equal to the Apostles.”) We know of her through tradition and some apochryphal works. Here is an article from the Catholic Encyclopedia:
