You are correct! Sorry! I should have proof read that better. I meant to say that the NT doesn’t speak much about Mary.

These questions always come down to some kind of semantic/definitional issue, with the REAL question being, who is a “Christian”. Without a good definition of “Christian” you can make a decent case for Adam (and probably other OT figures), Mary, Peter, Paul, Mary Magdalene, Cornelius and probably many others.

Technically, it would be Zecharias, the father of John the Baptist, which was even before Mary. In terms of the church age, believers in Antioch were first called “Christians.” So, based on the wording of the question, it would be them.

If someone asked me who was the 1st Christian. Am I wrong to say Mary ? Should I say dunno instead ?

In His wisdom, our Lord did not find this information to be necessary for our Salvation, so, it was not revealed to His Church. The important thing is that you and I are Christians and we live a life of light and love.

Yes. Also, I thought Mary was Jewish. When did she go from being Jewish to Christian?
Jesus, Mary, Joseph are Christians and Jewish…

Jews were and still are called to accept Jesus .

Some did and some didn’t …

Jewish Christians is not an oxymoron

Jesus Fulfilled the law…

Christianity is the true continuance / sect - of the religion…

Judaism was before Christianity.
The Jews who knew the word of God was supposed to teach the Gentiles who had no prior knowledge of his word.

So surely the first Christians were Jews ?

Example Saul / St Paul teaching to the Gentiles.

My first thought was Peter.

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”…
