Who were the Anabaptists?

Greetings; Could you please tell me who the Anabaptists were and if there is any relationship to the Baptist church of today? Thanks much. Chuck Clifford Peace
 
Anabaptists were Reformers that re-baptized adults who had previously been baptized as infants. There are connections between the Anabaptists and the Baptists.
