I don’t know. But it was possible that they were Anglican nuns. Westminster Abbey originally was an abbey for Benedictines before the seizure of the monasteries by Henry VIII. It is possible that Anglican religious still live at the abbey and were invited to the ceremony as a courtesy and mark of respect.
