Who/Which/Where am I?

I’m trying to understand myself.
I’ve heard of about 4 main things/objects/identities.
  1. My body
  2. My Spirit
  3. My Soul
  4. My Will
If i liken them to 4 cars
  1. Hyundai
  2. Nissan
  3. Honda
  4. Peugeot.
Of which of this 4 am I inside? If you were looking for me ?
And why did God do it this way? Isn’t it somehow compicated?

I have an example I’m not sure how good to use.
If my arm, was cut off, I’m sure I won’t be inside my arm, looking up qt my body as my arm was falling off. I’ll he inside my body looking down at my arm as my arm was falling down.
So I’m not in my arm. My arm is a part of me which can be removed. I still remain me.

If my head on the other hand were cut off, where would I be?
In my head ? Or in my body? Would I look at my body falling off to the ground? Or would I suddenly go blind and realise that my head which has my eyes for seeing just fell off?

What part would I be in

Which one is me?
Body, soul, spirit, will? Which one?

You are all of the above. All of them make up a human being.

You are a breathing soul or spirit, and you are a thinking body.

If I were looking for you, I would look for your body because I am “outside” of you and the body is your outside self. Your soul/spirit makes you “you”, your body makes you somebody!

It is complicated, but a human being is a complicated being.

If you were beheaded, you would be dead, and neither your head nor body would be “you”, but your soul (spirit). You would receive a spiritual body (pneumatikon soma).

Thanks for the insight. Guess all this complication is because of Original sin.
Everything disorganised, and I keep struggling to be aware and in control of all different parts. ( with effort. Much effort)

Well, yeah.

In life everlasting, your whole self will fit and move together as smoothly as your skin on your muscles. You will think with your body and move with your mind :)🙂

The problem is the analogy. Body, sprit, soul and will are 4 different things. You are comparing them all to the same thing ie a car and just giving the same car a different name. The analogy IMO should be like this

Body = Car that keeps everything together
Spirit = gas to move the car
Soul = engine that makes everything work together
Will = Steering wheel that directs the car
