No way will I spend a penny on this movie. Why should I put MONEY into the Pocket of Dan Brown and his Anti-Christian Cohorts? It would be a Sin!

Dan Brown didn’t start attacking the Church in TDC but before with his prvious book (which has been republished) called “Angels and Demons”.

We are accused of SUN WORSHIP, Feeding Our Dead, Stealing Communion from the Aztecs, KILLED Scientists, Invented Witchcraft, Stole the CROSS and the Halo from the Egyptians, Genesis is ABSURD, we stole the image of ZEUS for God the Father…

Don’t excuse this with “it’s just fiction”. Maybe the story is “fiction” but the supposed FACTS that the characters declare are meant to be facts, and so will they be taken by most non-christians and by many Catholics who do not know history or their faith.

I hope and pray that TDC is given a financial spanking so Hollywood may see that these hateful lies presented in such Anti-Christian Propaganda will not be rewarded.

St. Joesph’s feast day is coming up on the 19th, what a great idea to ask such a powerful advocate for his help in defending the church. The Chaplet of St. Michael will also be a great resource for such a petition.

Like it or not, this movie will make millions.
 
I voted other. I won’t see it. I almost never go to the theatres. Waste of brain-space and money. I really dislike theatres for several reasons. They are expensive and filthy for one. People are rude there. You have to go on faith that the movie is any good… most of the time NOT. Uncomfortable seating, unhealthy snacks, dirty bathrooms. I could go on, but I rather be outside doing something active, or in my own comfortable home. I can wait for pay per view if there is anything I am interested in which is almost never.
 
I imagine it’ll show up on cable one day…

I have to say I enjoyed one of his other books, Angels and Demons, however.

You may be correct, but wars can be stopped with one roasary. All we really have is prayer, Everything else is in God’s hands.

Yeah and it’s mostly the Christians who feeds the beast to fatten it up to glorify Brown’s blasphemous work ! For shame !!
 
Why not print out some tracts or pamphlets that refute the bull**** in the movie and hand them out to people outside the movie theatres?

Alternatively, you could take a few friends and all burst out laughing loudly and snickering at appropriate places.
 
I am going to watch it and if it half as good as the book I will add it to my DVD collection.
 
I’ll be seeing it, don’t think it will be as good as the book, despite the errors Brown made in that.

Yes isn’t it lovely, we can be so kind about the things we agree on, but so horrible about our differences. I am not prepared to take that bargain though - it’s too hard, bye.

I have no problem with the lack of truth, since it is totally a work of fiction. I enjoyed National Treasure even though it was based on pure fiction. I will not watch it, however, until it comes to television. I do not care for much of what Dan Brownhas said will vote with my pocketbook. No movie tickets or DVD’s for me.

My difference - note singular.

I don’t think it is fair that I should be treated like a complete dullard and outcast because I am unsure about church teaching on one topic, imgaine if the same policy was applied to everyone here…

Anywho sorry to the OP, that was off topic, I liked the book, but the main actors dont seem to fit into the parts for me - anyone else getting this?

Well I am an equal opportunity abuser. I don’t think you can disagree with the church on one teaching without bringing into question all their teachings.

I think Tom Hanks is one of the greatest actors of our time. I’m looking forward to see how he handles the least.
