Who witnesed resurretion in first place?

The Gospel (John 20: 1-20) states that it was Mary Magdalene alone at the tomb that morning arrived and found the stone has been removed. Therefater she ran away to inform Peter and other disciples of the findings.

But on (Mark 16: 1-8) it is narrated that Mary Magdalene wa not alone but rather the three ladies being 1: Mary Magadlene, 2: Mary the mother of James, 3: Salome, all with ultimate goal of anointing the dead body of Jesus. The three foound a displaced stone and were informed of one found there that Jesus they are seeking out has risen from the dead.

This put clearly that the three were aware of the resurrection at the time of leaving the cemetery. Back to John’s gospel, once Mary Magdalene left the graveyard and rushed to disciples, even on arrival to them she wasn’t aware of what transpired to Jesus body, ending up saying “they took away the body and we are not aware of its whereabouts”.

Amid this gospel discrepacies, who was the first witness of resurrection? Is it Mary Magdalene alone as to John narratives or the three according to Mark? Which is the correct resurrection account between John and Mark both being canonical gospels

What I understand from this is that Mary Madalene probably went to the tomb with two others to annoint the body. She saw the empty tomb and she was told that that Jesus had risen. At that point she did not note it in her diary, but ran to tell the disciples, who heard from her that the body was gone and that she did not know where is was. The other two women did not accompany her so whoever heard the story didn’t take them into account. They were women anyway and I believe you needed two male witnesses to claim something had happened. When Jesus did return, I believe Mary Magdaleine was the first to actually see Him.

There would be no discrepancy if you think that Mary Magdalene was with the other women but was ahead of them enough that she seemed alone.

Two different but yet accurate accounts.

I should note first of all that all four gospels agree that Mary Magdalene was there (the Synoptics mention another Mary with her). Also, a closer reading of John’s gospel shows that he doesn’t say that Mary Magdalene alone went to the tomb; quite the opposite, he seems to imply that there were others along with her. “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.”

It’s impossible, with the given information, to say something more specific about it, but in this case the meaning of “probably” would be something like “most possibly”. We will never have a definite answer unless someone creates a time machine to go there…

Dom Gueranger and Pope John Paul II refer to a tradition which holds that while unmentioned in the Holy Scriptures Christ first appeared to the Blessed Virgin before the others. St. Ambrose may also have supported the belief though this appears disputable. Cf. Did Jesus appear first to his Mother after the Resurrection?

Pope John Paul II, Audience 21 May 1997:

Indeed, it is legitimate to think that the Mother was probably the first person to whom the risen Jesus appeared. Could not Mary’s absence from the group of women who went to the tomb at dawn (cf. Mk 16:1; Mt 28:1) indicate that she had already met Jesus? This inference would also be confirmed by the fact that the first witnesses of the Resurrection, by Jesus’ will, were the women who had remained faithful at the foot of the Cross and therefore were more steadfast in faith.

Indeed, the Risen One entrusts to one of them, Mary Magdalene, the message to be passed on to the Apostles (cf. Jn 20:17-18). Perhaps this fact too allows us to think that Jesus showed himself first to his Mother, who had been the most faithful and had kept her faith intact when put to the test.
