It makes sense in one way but not in another. As you know the heart of protestantism IS dividing and dividing, because each person is their own authority and is required to divide if they disagree with their pastor.Also, there is this: many, many people justify their own divisive behavior with the claim of disunity among Churches. Anyone seeking unification, does not further divide by creating another church out of union. Does that make sense?
Now if it was in the Catholic Church we know division/separation is never the answer and is an illogical solution.
