Ive asked alot of questions pertaining to deep questions of the faith and my own personal struggles with sin and they never get answered.

They would rather answer questions like…’‘is saying heck a sin’’ and stuff like that i guess haha:)

Repenter, forgive me, but I’m totally lost on your point. What do you mean when you say the Pope and the Bishops are not in agreement on who wrote the Bible?

Notworthy…

The Pope and Bishops of his direct influence no longer believe what the early Church fathers taught about the authors of the gospels.

Through the Historical Critical Method , they believe we dont know who the Authors are , they just come from the apostolic community and that none of the apostles wrote the scriptures.

So your in disagreement with them sir…

Get with the program havent you been reading peoples posts??

I’m sorry, I just re-read them. And I don’t see anyone on this thread making the claim, “The Pope and Bishops of his direct influence no longer believe what the early Church fathers taught about the authors of the gospels.”

Instead, I see Buffalo writing,
This would conform to the traditional teaching of the Church that two of the Gospels were written by eyewitness companions of Jesus.** The author points out that this teaching was recently renewed in a Dogmatic Constitution, Dei Verbum, of the Second Vatican Council**.So please forgive my ignorance.

That is not what the Pope and the Offical teachers of Catholic doctrine Believe.

They Believe none of the Gospels were written by the Apostles.

Came from the Community of the Early Church.

Kindly show me where the Pope and the Officials say this, please! I am totally ignorant of this fact, so I apologize. But no one on this thread has shown me this.

I’m sorry, Repenter, I didn’t know this thread was a game of cat and mouse. I’ll find some other threads…

Follow you? I don’t think so.

But I do like the way you used, “Notsoworthy”. That’s cute!

Thank you to all who participated. This thread is now closed.
