Hi. Brief question for techies out there - a whodunnit:
What is the anomoly, please?..
Trying to search for an old thread via Google. A thread which had a fair amount of views.
Google finishes the title of the thread automatically for me when I write it into Google. IOW, my bizarre title is logged now as a keyword in Google!
I put all sorts of alternatives into Google, changing one of the letters of my thread title, or put in other terms too, and Google works fine. But when I put in the exact spelling of my title, Internet Explorer closes: 'Internet Explorer has stopped working", it reads.
If I change the smaller letters to capitals, then the Google search still closes, but any difference in which the title thread actually reads as something different and Google is fine.
I have reset Explorer settings, I have deleted history etc…, I have run malware (all fine), I have done virus scan (all fine), I have checked all ports and tightened security but the problem is not to be found on this PC, I have even temporarily uninstalled possible conflicting security programs and have run some updates to make sure things are, well, up-to-date. And turned off and on again so the computer is configured.
The version of Internet Explorer I have is 9. It was doing the same on 8.
I have tried the search on Bing, on Yahoo, and other search engines, and the search term is fine, it doesn’t affect anything, but when I do it on Google, that search specifically, and I mean, only that search, causes Internet Explorer to crash.
I do not want to download Int. Ex 10 or 11 because I find 8 and 9 better. Would someone be willing to test my search term to see if Google crashes please, on your computer? On either Explorer 8, 9, 10 or 11, and if you have any other web browser to compare with explorer, but using Google?
Has anyone found this before with your search terms?
Thanks.
(if I have put this int he wrong section then I will post again in a different category).
Thank you.
