Who's going to try to get to Confession this weekend?

I don’t think it’s pathetic. I think the priest is doing his best to meet spiritual needs while keeping people safe. Some folks may be afraid of death. Other folks may want to confess because it is almost Easter and they typically confess at that time.
 
I was able to go to confession this morning. I got there about halfway through the hour and there were two priests hearing confessions in the open church, outside the confessional, and behind screens that were quite sturdy (pretty much solid plastic window with vents). There was no line, which is unusual for the church I went to, but when I arrived there were about 7 or 8 people just sitting praying in the church (at large distances from each other), and it’s likely some if not all of them had already been to confession.

I went on Wednesday of last week, right before the shelter-in-place order took effect. The parish closest to me has actually increased confession times. I am not sure how they’re handling them, but I heard they were outdoors. The FSSP parish is continuing with daily confession. I don’t know how they are handling it regularly, but a friend of mine who has lung disease and a heart condition had her confession heard outdoors. My pastor has asked us to call him if we would like to schedule confession.
 
Since I traveled internationally and returned roughly 13 days ago, I still have one day before I can get out in public. Probably hitting it up Wednesday.
 
St. John Vianney fasted during his marathon sessions in the Confessional, but it’s not a requirement. The only Sacrament for which fasting is prescribed is the Eucharist.
 
I thought St. John Vianney pretty much fasted all the time anyway. I remember hearing that he wouldn’t eat decent meals, instead he ate old rotten potatoes and stuff like that, and gave food away to people in his parish who didn’t have anything to eat.
 
Daily Mass, Liturgy of the Hours, and 12-16 hours in the Confessional each day left him little time to eat.
