These have all been excellent saints to hear about. God bless you all for sharing your saints and their virtues.

My favorite Saint is Saint Jude. He has done so much for me

Padre Pio…the most reverently offering of Holy Mass I have ever been Blessed to witness albeit on the You tube…Marian devotion…the Holy Rosary amost perpetually (which I try to emulate)…refered to the Rosary has his weapon against the evil one…was known to remark…“bring me my weapon:”…tks for question…Pax

My favorite saint is Saint Patrick. I really like how used the shamrock to teach about the Holy Trinity. Also my family is Irish:).

I love Gemma, too. She’s not a plaster saint, either. Flesh and blood, like us! 🙂

May all you Holy Saints, intercede for us today that we might grow in the love and service of Christ.

I have some crazy stories involving her intercession. I also have her relic which is by far my most prized possession!

St Jude! He was my mother’s favorite saint. She and my father were married for five years and couldn’t have a baby. She prayed to St. Jude, and she conceived my sister. She passed her devotion to St. Jude on to us.

St. Ignatius of Antioch is my favorite. As a protestant entering the church, St. Ignatius helped me see the initial church’s beliefs in the second century was truly Catholic. I knew it was certain I had to let go of modern teachings, and go back to what was originally taught in the church. He pulled me through.

St. Isidore. He was my Confirmation saint, and I admire him for his most famous work, Etymologiae. Without him, so much information would have been lost.

I have so many, but if I really need urgent help, I will pray to St. Rita of Cascia, and St. Jude Thaddeus, both known as “saints of the impossible.”

I will also ask for the intercession of St. Anthony of Padua too, as he is also known as a “wonder worker,” and if you are feeling particularly distressed and troubled or worried, you can pray to him for your “peace of mind.”

I also like to pray to St. Padre Pio, too.

That is very good to know!!

Saint Anthony. Saint Anthony, something is lost that must be found, this time it’s my mind, please help me to establish it on more stable and peaceful ground. Amen. 🙂

St Elizabeth Ann Seton

I’ve always been drawn to her, before even becoming Catholic. I love that she started the first Catholic school in the US, her commitment to raising her husband’s siblings after their father died, but most of all, I feel a connection since she is also a convert. <3

St Frances Xavier Cabrini

I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and the infamous Cabrini Green was my landmark that my train was nearly “home” when I would come home from college. I wasn’t Catholic at the time, but one day I decided to find out more about her. Her compassion to children (see a pattern? 😉 ) and especially the immigrant children inspires me.

Blessed Mother Teresa (does she count?)

Again, her humility and service to the poor, but it was actually when I learned that she’d had a dark night of the soul that I found myself drawn to her. I think even though I believed questioning theology was okay, I didn’t think it was okay to be so low that I would even doubt God… that to find myself in a place like that I’d never emerge. Reading her story reminds me that God doesn’t let us go that easy and He will use even our darkest moments to draw us to Him.
