Who your favourite Saint. I’m just curious to see which ones are popular and which ones ye pray to. St Francis of Assisi is the one who really got me into the faith. Like I was a catholic before and I went to mass every weekend and I do come from a pretty catholic family but wasn’t really into it that much. St Francis really got me interested in it and I wouldn’t be surprised if I did become a priest or something like that when I’m older. Since then my favourite Saint has constantly been changing though, but my favourite ones overall would be St Nicholas, St John of the Cross, St Stephen, St Vincent de Paul, St Faustina and St Catherine Labouré. I pray to them every day.

I think we had another thread like this not long ago, but I’m happy to talk about saints again any time.

Here’s my favorites (some are not canonized yet):
The Blessed Mother of course
St. Joseph
St. Therese of Lisieux (My mother’s patron saint)
St. Patrick
St. Jude (My father’s patron saint)
St. Padre Pio
St. Mother Teresa
St. Jose Sanchez Del Rio
St. Anthony
Sts. Francisco and Jacinta Marto
Blessed Miguel Pro
Blessed Jerzy Popieluszko
Blessed Solanus Casey
Venerable Fulton Sheen
Servant of God Rhoda Wise

There are a whole bunch more I like and it’s not uncommon for me to pray to many many saints in a day, so it’s hard to choose just a few.

I don’t really have a favorite, but I’m very interested in St. Josephine Bakhita. She would definitely be on my “list”.

Our Lady, particularly under the titles of Our Lady of Fatima, (It was Our Lady of Fatima who got me to revert to the Catholic Faith) Our Lady of the Rosary, and Our Lady of Grace.

I also like Saint Alphonsus de Liguori, and Saint Louis de Montfort, (Because they were big Marian devotees, I’m also interested in Saint Maximilian Kolbe, and Pope St. John Paul II for the same reason.) as well as Saint Augustine and his mother Saint Monica, I used live a horrible life of sin so I’m naturally a big fan St. Augustine as a penitent. I also like Sts. Jacinta and Francisco for the same reason I like Our Lady of Fatima.

I’m also interested in Saint Mary Magdalene, for the same reason as St. Augustine, and St. James the Son of Zebedee, because I’m Hispanic, and St. James is the patron Saint of my ethnicity and culture.

It’s really hard to say who is my “Favorite” since I have developed relationships with many throughout different time periods of my life. Suffice to say I am very much looking forward to meeting all of them in the Kingdom, God willing.

I would say:
Our Lady of the Rosary (Fatima, Guadalupe, Victory, etc…)
St Joseph (Now that I am a father especially)
St. Maurice (My confirmation saint)
St. Veronica (My wife’s confirmation saint)
St Thomas Moore and St. John Fisher
St Jude
St. Dominic and St. Thomas Aquinas
St Joan of Arc and St Louis
St Catherine Labore
St. Faustina
St Simon Stock
St Therese of Lisueax
St Ignatius of Loyola
St Francis and St. Clare
St Benedict and St Scholastica
St Becket
Blessed Karl of Austria
Ven. Fulton Sheen & Ven Michael J. Mcgivney

St. Thomas More. Even when I wasn’t really a practicing Catholic he stood out to me, now I pray for his intercession regularly.

Yay favorite saints! Get ready for a list!

First is the Blessed Mother, most especially under the titles of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Our Lady of Knock, Our Lady of La Vang, and Our Lady Star of the Sea.

Then I have:
St. Joseph
St. Padre Pio
St. Therese of Lisieux
St. Anthony of Padua
St. Faustina
…but there are many others whose intersession I’ve prayed for, depending on need.

I also love these two, though not canonized:
Sister Josefa Menendez
Brother Marcel Van, Servant of God

Venerable Fulton Sheen

Thought I read somewhere that his cause had been rescinded as of late.

St Francis of Assisi for me as well, it was the name of my Catholic elementary school.

I would also add:
St. Francis de Sales
St. Joseph
St. Jude
Venerable Fulton Sheen
St. Anthony
St. Catherine of Bologna
St. Michael the Archangel

St. John of the Cross.
St. John Paul II.

St Francis. I don’t know much about catholic saints, but I like St Francis because of his love for animals. I also am a lover of animals. 🙂

No, it’s just suspended while Dolan and Sheen’s niece fight in court over who gets his body.

I hope the niece wins. It annoys me that St. Patrick’s has him buried in an inaccessible spot. If you dont know to look for his little memorial kneeler, you wouldn’t even know he was there. You know Peoria will likely make some shrine or more accessible place because they need the tourist traffic. St. Pat’s doesn’t.

Hoping that one day Fr. Vincent Cappodanno will be declared a saint. (In my lifetime!)

I like him for that reason, too. Feel drawn to him.
