Whose your favorite saint could you tell us something about them

Has anyone heard of St Marculf? If so could you please give some information, thank you.
 
Do not feel too bad. St. Maria Goretti is a saint I cannot understand. She is on a whole other level of spirituality. St. Rose of Lima is another saint I cannot understand.
I like Saint Elisabeth Leseur. There is Blessed Chiara - her life is very similar to Jaimie Sullivan from A Walk to Remember.
I have a special place in my heart for penitents though.
Most saints lived very sad lives.
 
My favorite saint is actually a Blessed. Margaret of Castello, who was blind and hunchbacked. Her parents abandoned her when the “miracle” they selfishly sought for her didn’t happen. Despite her disability, God accomplished several miracles through her. She’s a good one to use against the Protestant “prosperity gospel” preachers.

She is considered a patron of people with disabilities. ♿

Lately, St. Anthony.

He is quick to help me find a lost object. He has never failed me.

Yesterday, it was my hunting knife.
 
A few years ago when my brojen wisdom tooth was causing me agony and even strong painkillers didn’t help, praying to St. Apollonia did.

When I got to the dentist in Poland (too expensive in England) there was an image of her above the door inside the dentist’s room.

St. Francis Caracciolo

While he is one of the founders of my Order, he is my favorite because of his devotion to the Eucharist. He was the first to promote wide-spread perpetual adoration, starting within the Churches which the Order of Clerics Regular Minor administrated in the 1590s. He was devoted to helping the poor and refused any honor the Church would propose to bestow upon him which would raise him above his brothers. The Order even had to force him to become the first true Father General. He lived a life of devout poverty, even sleeping in a shack he built himself in Spain while his parish was being built and lived in a small cupboard (I’m not kidding) under the stairs for years while acting as the Order’s Master of Novices.
 
I also love St. Rose of Lima. I admire her dedication to self-mortification and intense love for Jesus. When she realized men were beginning to admire her beauty, she began rubbing pepper on her face to make it blister and chopped her hair off in a short haircut. She often kept herself cloistered in her room, spending long periods in prayer. It was said she slept only two hours per night so as to have more time for prayer. She was also known to wear a heavy silver crown, with spikes that could pierce her flesh.The spikes reminded her of the Crown of Thorns. She predicted her death, August 25, 1617, at the age of 31. When she died, the smell of roses was in the air.

They did some facial reconstruction and this was most likely what she looked like.

I also like St. Augustine for his conversion from a life of sin to sainthood, St. Teresa of Avila for her conversion from tepidity to holiness, St. Therese for her little ways, St. Ignatius of Loyola for his determination to become a saint, and St. Faustina for her message of mercy. They are all amazing reminders of how to live holy lives.
 
St. Rose of Lima’s sole dedication to Christ is very admirable, she is one those saints I didn’t understand.
Saint Maria Goretti is another very holy saint.
