And the best possible thing we could do is START OVER…The worst possible thing we can do is nothing.

By your interpetation of the rules. As far as I’m concearned it is fact. It is a fact Ive gotten bobmbarded with for close to a quater century, even on news saources like Paul Harvey. To recant that just because you don’t believe it is sillyness. You obviously don’t watch tv news or listen to any news on your car radio, well I do I still listen to AM a bit. What I stated for not to be heard you’d have to practically live in a cave. Then by the rules of the forum you need to recant your statement.
That would be fine, if done in a timely hurried manner with no dawdling around. And the best possible thing we could do is START OVER…
A fact is something you can provide evidence to support it. Example: the sky is blue; we all know it, but I can provide pictures showing it’s blue and provide links showing scientifically why it’s blue. There is not interpretation to that.By your interpetation of the rules. As far as I’m concearned it is fact. Sorry I cant provide every Paul Harvey show I have lestened to in the past, and to think anyone can is luneytoons… Why do you stick your head out for the rich? They need no protection. You prejudices twards the rich. I already know I can’t get you to take the side of the poor. You are knocking your head into a brick wall to think you are going to get me to recant anything in this thread. The bill passed anyway. If it turns out not to work well we can always go back to the drawing board and fix it. Anyway many on the far left consider it subsidising insurance companies, that ought to make you happy since you are so enthralled with them.A fact is something you can provide evidence to support it. It doesn’t matter what I listen to or watch; if I can’t provide proof when asked about it then it is just my opinion.
I know why you don’t want to provide proof b/c you would have to admit you are prejudiced against them.
You said “It’s a fact Iv’e heard over and over from multiple news sources, even Paul Harvey.” I asked you to provide links to those news sources, not Paul Harvey.Sorry I cant provide every Paul Harvey show I have lestened to in the past, and to think anyone can is luneytoons.
I have said over and over we need to fix the system. You need to read what I am writing. Why do you stick your head out for the rich? They need no protection. You prejudices twards the rich. I already know I can’t get you to take the side of the poor.
All I am asking you to do is back up your claims. The forums rules say you have to back up your claims with a link as proof. If you refuse to do that then you must be lieing. You are knocking your head into a brick wall to think you are going to get me to recant anything in this thread.
Only in the Senate. The bill passed anyway.
You don’t fix a leaky roof by throwing more shingles on top of the other ones and say you’ll start over the next time it leaks. If it turns out not to work well we can always go back to the drawing board and fix it.
Truth by consensus? Wikipedia theory has no place in logical discourse. It’s a fact Iv’e heard over and over from multiple news sources, even conservative ones like Paul Harvey for many years as far back as the 1980’s. I’m supposed to deny what Iv’e been bombarded by? Anyone who things that, needs a white rubber room. To not know that you have to live in a cave or born in a barn, give me a break!
the point was that insurance companies would cease to exist if they accepted all claimsI thought I responded to the point just fine.
They can be replaced.the point was that insurance companies would cease to exist if they accepted all claims
So the very fact that insurance companies do what is needed to continue existing makes them evil? They can be replaced.
You have every right to get angry. As I said, I empathize with you totally. There might be some good coming out of this healthcare plan afterall if it means that you will be medically covered. What I was concerned about is judging a person’s worth based on “how much” he or she makes. I mean, what is the cut-off? Is it 1 million? Less? If so, then how much less? There’s apples and oranges here. Your case is not predicated upon the CEO. Let’s hope that Obamacare rules in your favor when this is all over. They apparently think they have the right to rescind a contract after the fact, full well knowing that I will become toxic to every insurer on the market, condemning me to a lifetime of pain and suffering. They full well knew my conditions, my conditions were WHY they dissolved the plan. They knew what they were doing to me, what I would never again be able to have.
Is it jealousy to want to be healthy? Is it coveting to want to have a life not full of unending, non-stopping agonizing pain? Is it jealousy to get angry when you find out the company that intentionally and willfully dumped me on the street to a lifetime of lack of medical treatment, while giving their CEO a billion dollars? People probably got performance raises because of the fact they dumped my family as a customer, they were PAID to do this to me.
You think they need to do it to exist, I dont. Whatever. So the very fact that insurance companies do what is needed to continue existing makes them evil?
(i’ve launched a thread aimed at discussing health care costs if you would like to join me- for now I’m off. Merry Christmas!)
Then you think Medicaid, Medicare and tricare do not need to exist either? You think they need to do it to exist, I dont. Whatever.
Apples and oranges. Then you think Medicaid, Medicare and tricare do not need to exist either?
Those are government programs that are administered through private insurance companies. It stands to reason that if there were no need for insurance companies then the Federal government wouldn’t use them.Apples and oranges.
I pointed out? I know of no such place. I pointed out other COUNTRIES, which I HAVE been working towards moving to.That’s not true.
You’ve pointed out before that there are communities in the U.S. which prohibit insurance companies from denying coverage.
But rather than move to one of those places, you would rather force the rest of the country to change.
The average cost of keeping my condition under control, in the us, is about $25,000 a year. How do you plan for a free market company to make money off of a customer like me?I want to fix her problems with access to afforable insurance coverage, but through one bill at a time to make sure it is done RIGHT. .
Allow insurance companies to compete across state lines, which will drive down costs; removing the ridiculous mandates that say every policy as to have this or that on them and let the consumer pick what they want to have covered, which in turn will drive down costs; enact tort reform, which will reduce physician overhead allowing them to charge less, thus billing insurance less and allowing for the insurance companies overhead to decrease, this also has a domino effect of less frivilant tests being orderd which in turn reduce the costs to insurance companies. The average cost of keeping my condition under control, in the us, is about $25,000 a year. None of that would lower the cost of my condition. It is what it is. Even if my doctors charged nothing, it would still be 20k or so.Allow insurance companies to compete across state lines, which will drive down costs; removing the ridiculous mandates that say every policy as to have this or that on them and let the consumer pick what they want to have covered, which in turn will drive down costs; enact tort reform, which will reduce physician overhead allowing them to charge less, thus billing insurance less and allowing for the insurance companies overhead to decrease, this also has a domino effect of less frivilant tests being orderd which in turn reduce the costs to insurance companies.
Lowering the cost and being able to afford something are 2 different things. You wanted to know how a company would make money off you; we both know they won’t but if you pass those reforms plus throw in a bill so companies can’t just drop you or deny coverage for when you become sick, then they can free more capital to take on clients with your conidtion. Government run healthcare will still cost 20k/yr for your condition; but if like any other government beuracracy, it will probably cost $40-$60k for them to treat your condition once you factor in all the waste.None of that would lower the cost of my condition. It is what it is. Even if my doctors charged nothing, it would still be 20k or so.
