But that child likely IS wanted. Maybe not by his birth mother, but there are childless couples all over America who want that child very, very much.
Are there a shortage of kids in foster care? I wasn’t aware of this problem.

That is almost funny, but I won’t laugh this time. All America does is open the immigration gates a little wider. And abortion - there’s an easy fix.

“In 1920, Russia became the first country in the world to allow abortion in all circumstances…”

“In 1936, the Soviet Union made abortion illegal…” Stalin was concerned about population growth. Everyone knew Germany was rearming.

Peace,
Ed
Stalin also put restrictions on divorce, too. He realized the society he wanted was very different than the one he saw (with lots of illegitimate children relying on the state, etc).

By disastrous population trajectory, I meant it was going to peak and then crash, rather than continue to rise.

I am sure that unwanted children are a great way to invest in our future. There is no way that an unwanted child likely born out of wedlock would not be an upstanding citizen.
“Unwanted” children have an uncanny knack of becoming “wanted” the day they’re born.

The second statement doesn’t make sense.

The “National Right to Life Committee” says that the economy would be better if abortion didn’t happen? It must be right! There is no way that this company would be biased when it has to do with abortion.

What I am saying is that contraception prevents unwanted pregnancies…many of which would be to women that are too young, aren’t in relationships, are in no condition in their life to care for a child, etc. People talk on these forums about how it is so important to bring kids up in a “traditional household” and if contraception wasn’t around there would be a whole lot more kids living in broken homes with parents that weren’t ready to care for children…yet contraception is intrinsically evil?

A predictable response. But no attempt to actually deal with the arguments. 😦

It is contraception itself that leads to these ills.

In 1930 -***CASTI CONNUBII - ***ENCYCLICAL OF POPE PIUS XI
ON CHRISTIAN MARRIAGE
- predicted the current issues as a result of contraception. He was right.

If you post an article or paper by a well respected economist showing something similar than maybe I will try to argue it. As it stands, your argument holds much less weight than this one:

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legalized_abortion_and_crime_effect

And I’m not saying this is right…I’m just saying at least some people that aren’t extremely biased and actually understand the economy are behind it.

Now you go and pull Wiki?

You really do not have to be an economist to follow the numbers. It is easy:

52 million * 49000.00 yearly median income.

Who decides when you have sex? The Church? The State? In private settings, do the clothes of young people suddenly fly off? Give me a break. These people are surrounded by single moms and likely have friends with single moms. They missed all that while growing up? It was right in front of their faces for years.

Artificial contraception is evil. Read about it here:

I was born in the mid-1950s. The average number of kids in my neighborhood was two. There was no birth control pill. And the same was true for neighborhoods that were miles away from where I lived.

Peace,
Ed

Same scenario - the average among my nine neighbors was - 2.4

Or 52 million unwanted kids = a huge amount more criminals.

So you are saying that it would have been evil for your neighbors to use birth control to control the amount of kids they had instead of (presumably) abstaining?

Why aren’t you concerned for the health of women and the environment?

The pill kills. The pill is a Group 1 carcinogen. The pill is polluting our waterways and messing with the hormones of aquatic life and humans who drink the water.

Nice try.
Hey, there is more reliable evidence stating that is true than your “well if we only had 52 million more people our economy would be amazing.”

To be honest though, debating what would happen if the 52 million fetuses that were aborted actually lived is stupid. First of all many of those abortions saved the mother’s lives. Secondly we don’t know if the person that got aborted could have cured cancer or maybe could have been the next hitler. We have no idea what it would be like if abortion in America didn’t exist for the past 35 years and debating it is pointless.

I edited my last report…and I did show you with the wikipedia article about a study done. All you did was send me to some super biased website…at least I have a peer reviewed study.
