Why Apostates Who Leave Mormonism Fight So Hard Against It

None of this is relevant to the points I’ve made in this thread, which you still have not addressed. I could be a purple lobster and it still wouldn’t matter.
You may very well BE a purple lobster, for all I know. I do know that until you declare your true allegience, I will not dialog with you. IF you are catholic, as you claim to be, you need to get out of bed with the mormons. And don’t give me that “paradigm pirate” BS, I do not recognize schizophrenia. If you are mormon, be man enough to say so. I have checked out your stuff on other websites and I think that you are very shaky anyhow. Witchcraft and occultism is NOT compatible with Catholicism.

Hosemonkey,

While I might have phrased it a little more gently, I completely agree with you.

I trust *nothing *Tsuzuki says about either Mormonism or Catholicism. If he is able to reconcile their obvious and serious doctrinal differences because of “paradigm piracy,” then paradigm piracy is something that lacks both logic and reason.

I would hope that the true Mormons on the forums would shoot him down, too.

And note how I didn’t even start this whole labeling tangent in the thread. I just made an observation backed with evidence which you seem incapable of addressing reasonably. Instead, you go off on a tangent over what I call myself.
Empty words. No tangent. You want your cake and eat it too. What you call yourself is germaine to what you ARE. You cannot be fish and fowl. A liberal (in your case “mormon-rite catholic”) is merely a man too lazy to commit to a position. Read my post again if you like, it still holds. No dialog with fence-sitters.

Suit yourself. To an outside observer, you still lost the argument. May you have better luck next time.
“Until convinced otherwise, I regard you as suspect. Not ad hominem at all, I think that you are flying false colors and have some sort of agenda. I will not address anything until your status is clear. I have read your posts on other threads were you posit questions like “can I possess dual citizenship?” The short answer is no! Neither Catholicism nor mormonism will permit it. So by claiming to be a “mormon rite Catholic” you are being dishonest to both camps. You cannot serve two masters, one True and one false. You are either a very conflicted Catholic (occultism, witchcraft,New Age trash) or a mormon troll. “Tiber Swim Team” don’t feed the bulldog. You are attempting to commit ecclesiastical polygamy. You do not sound like a genuine convert at all.”
What argument? I merely asked you to declare yourself. But, mormon-like, you retreated into obfuscation and tap-dancing. Your statement that you had mormonism in your DNA was very telling, wasn’t it? And what outside observers? Your friends at mormon.com? I read your “testimony.” Read Ruthie’s post. You are not fooling anyone. Do better next time.

This argument, which you have still not addressed.

Read post #121.
That’s not what this discussion is about. If you want to make a new thread about how I am an evil heretic, etc., please feel free to do so, but as far as this thread is concerned, please either address my post above or honor you own declaration to not speak to me. As it is, you are making yourself look like a troll.
This thread will suffice if you are a mormon troll or a Catholic wanna-be.

And why are you still talking to me?
I am not talking with you, I am talking AT you. And I am not talking so much for your benefit, but for those who might be led astray by your errors. True Catholics do not dabble in witchcraft and occultism and such New Age trash. That is more a trait of mormonism.

hosemonkey–I know it’s hard when you are being baited so, but try not to feed the trolls. It just makes them feel self-important and then they get even more irrational. 😉

Thanks-you are right.😛
Tzuzuki…Away with you, into the outer darkness…unless you clean up your act.

That is what it would be. Because it is a blessing that would be what needs to be had. No luck is involved here.

I agree with you however I find Hosemonkey’s coments far more abusive and not at all Christ like and if one was to chose which side to stand based on the way one replies it would not be his. I sure hope he is not representative of the Catholic church

Joseph Smith explained:

A man by the name of Behunnin once told the Prophet Joseph Smith that if he were ever to leave the Church, he would not do as others had done and turn and fight against it. “I would,” he said, “go to some remote place where Mormonism had never been heard of, settle down, and no one would ever learn that I knew anything about it.” Joseph Smith’s response was immediate: “Brother Behunnin, you don’t know what you would do. . . . Before you joined this Church you stood on neutral ground. When the gospel was preached, good and evil were set before you. You could choose either or neither. There were two opposite masters inviting you to serve them. When you joined this Church you enlisted to serve God. When you did that, you left the neutral ground, and you never can get back on to it. Should you forsake the Master you enlisted to serve, it will be by the instigation of the evil one, and you will follow his dictation and be his servant” (Juvenile Instructor 27 [15 August 1892]: 492).

This statement is factually incorrect. Most inactive Mormons either quietly go inactive or wind up in some lost member files in Salt Lake City. They certainly don’t go around persecuting the Mormon Church. Many of us here would not even be commenting on Mormonism except for the Mormons who come here trying to convert us back to Mormonism. I actually still have a pretty favorable view of Mormons and even the Mormon Church as an institution. It’s the doctrine that I find to be a problem. And so when Mormons come here trying to defend Mormon doctrine, I’m going to call them on it.

In the past the Mormons gave as good as they got. Unhappy members who left the Mormon Church had their reputations blackened. Look at some of the statements Joseph Smith made about Oliver Cowdrey. Look at some of the statements Brigham Young made about Emma Smith.

But Joseph Smith was wrong. Most inactive and ex-Mormons simply ignore the LDS Church. This is another example where Joseph Smith was a false prophet.

For some, ignoring the LDS Church is an error.
Unhappy members who left the Mormon Church had their reputations blackened
It still happens, and not necessarily just to exMormons and Jackmormons.

Jesus did not stand on the side of lies and error. He strongly rebuked those who were doing wrong and teaching error in His name, much as the mormon organization does. I hope that I am representative of what the Catholic Church should be, unafraid to speak out against error and false religion and to not accomodate itself to the world.

I agree completely. look at Matthew chapters 3, 12 and 23. Jesus condemned the false teachers in very clear terms.

Thanks for your support. mormons do not like to be called to task for their false religion.
