You are right. Tell me again what I said, because clearly I have no clue.
I didn’t criticize you for saying you should work more than 40 hours a week. I asked where the protestant work ethic stated that we should do that. I don’t recall that from Weber. Now, whether we should work more than 40 hours a week is a debatable topic. Like I said, many people seem to presume that doing so is virtuous. Yet, I know many people who work long hours who are running away from poor family situations. There is nothing virtuous about neglecting your family to produce income that they don’t need.Just me talking, but protestants seem to me to be more entrepreneurial than Catholics.
Also, protestants seem to be more “managerial” than Catholics, who seem to be more “passive” rather than active participants in the economy.

Well, if it’s your business, you have to be on the loading dock, you have to do the billing and do all the paperwork. And a lot of that “overhead” can be done after hours.
I think this is pretty speculative. I recall reading some time ago that when it comes to the wealth level of people of various religions in this country, here’s what they are.Just me talking, but protestants seem to me to be more entrepreneurial than Catholics.

I am not sure what this has to do with protestant countries allegedly being richer.Cheap, mass produced industrial products gave us a higher standard of living and improved life for everyone.
This is an absolutely horrible generalization.Portugal and the Phillipines are two nations with huge populations of very materially poor people yet who are very spiritually rich and devoutly Catholic - the Kingdom of God is theirs.
America and the UK are two nations with huge populations of very materially rich people yet who are very spiritually poor and nominally Protestant - woe to them, they have received their reward.
Do you not see that what you are claiming is that there was no harm done because these aborigines were few and far apart?Yes that is what I am saying. The British did not have to accommodate a local culture in the Americas like the Spanish did. The natives were so sparse, there really was no “conquered” people
