Why are so many Muslims violent?

What if people did that to Muslims because they have attacked them? …
I see you have noticed that Islam demands for itself what it won’t do for others. This symptomatic of a lack of a concept of the Golden Rule. People have enough difficulty getting along when they do believe in the Golden Rule, but when your god tells you that you are better than non-believers, it’s an open invitation to unleash and magnify ethnic hatreds which quickly mutates into a justification for war against them. Maybe that’s why Muslims are violent.

The first and second intifada’s were periods of time when there was low level war between the palestinians and jews in Israel. Considering it is likely that a similar scenario is beginning to occur now, A third intifada is likely to arise.

I used the generally accepted name for the periods of elevated but still fairly low level conflict in Israel.

Writing cryptically makes it more interesting for all of you trying to interpret what im saying:D

Suicide bomber reads passages from the Koran before attack.
MILAN - A small green-painted door opens onto the balcony. Inside, an old sofa stands against one wall. Resting on the cushions was a Koran open at the Cow Surah, the verses that suicide bombers read before they go out to blow themselves up. The book was the last trace left by Mohamed Game in his lair, a third-floor flat in a block in Via Gulli. Just after seven o’clock last Monday morning, Game prayed before the open pages. Then he picked up his explosives-packed toolbox and left. He went down three floors of stairs to the street, turned left and went on his way. At a normal pace, it would have taken him just over five minutes to reach the nearby barracks in Piazzale Perrucchetti, at the end of the street. Seven hundred and fifty metres separated Game from martyrdom. It has been a week since the attack on the Santa Barbara barracks in Milan…
A notable Cow verse:
6. As for the Disbelievers, Whether thou warn them or thou warn them not it is
all one for them; they believe not.

So much for the invitation to Islam before going boom. No kidding! I don’t care to believe in it. They cannot get over the fact that if their Allah is all powerful then let HIM take care of us! Except that they cannot do that since they believe the salvation of their souls depends on doing Allah’s job.

Here we read that another country are using their children as explosives. Here is a video that talks about it.

Here we have a video showing women and teens being used as explosives.

Jehoshua, Third Intifada? Did you watch the video?

Your notes are very cryptic it is hard to follow what you are trying to say. I might be misinterpreting your notes.
****The news this week should horrify anyone: A woman in Iraq, 51-year-old Samira Ahmed Jassim, confessed to arranging for the rape of 80 women so that she could convince them – shame them – into becoming suicide bombers. Linked to the Ansar al-Sunnah radical Islamist group (weakly called an “insurgent” group in the Herald-Sun), Jassim admitted in a videotape confession to mentally preparing the women for “martyrdom” operations, passing them on to the terrorists who gave them their explosives, and then took the women – now bombers – to their targets.

It’s hard for Westerners to understand why these women would have turned to suicide martyrdom after being raped. But unlike the West, men are not considered to be at fault when a rape occurs. According to the Mufti of Australia, Sheikh Taj al-Din al-Hilali, rape is “90% the woman’s responsibility” because “a woman owns the weapon of seduction.” Al-Hilali backed up his assertions with the writings of another Islamic scholar that place the blame on the woman: “If she had not left the meat uncovered, the cat wouldn’t have snatched it.”

What’s more, in traditional Islamic law rape cannot be established except by the testimony of four male witnesses who saw the act, as stipulated by Qur’an 24:4 and 24:13. Consequently, it is even today virtually impossible to prove rape in lands that follow the dictates of the Sharia. Unscrupulous men can commit rape with impunity: as long as they deny the charge and there are no witnesses, they get off scot-free, because the victim’s account is inadmissible. Even worse, if a woman accuses a man of rape, she may end up incriminating herself. If the required male witnesses can’t be found, the victim’s charge of rape becomes an admission of adultery. That accounts for the grim fact that as many as seventy-five percent of the women in prison in Pakistan are, in fact, behind bars for the crime of being a victim of rape.

And anyone who has paid attention to not only global news but news right here at home, would know that a woman who shames her family by being raped, having sex outside of marriage or even just falling in love with the wrong man, can face an honor killing. So perhaps it’s no wonder that a little goading can get them to “redeem” themselves through blowing themselves up in order to kill others.

Still others believe that an improved standard of living in the Middle East and elsewhere in the world will stem the tide of radical Islam. Of course, radical Islam’s poster boy, Osama bin Laden, comes from a very wealthy family. William Ayers, the domestic terrorist who wanted to change American society by bombing the U.S. Capitol and the Pentagon – and who is now a “Distinguished Professor of Education” – also came from a wealthy family. So much for that theory.

Women in Islam are forbidden to drive, work, leave the house unless accompanied by a male relative, or show even an inch of bare skin. If they do any of the above, they face harsh penalties – even death. But that’s just more wonderful multiculturalism at work. They do what they do, we do what we do. Fabulous!

And our president Obama, in his first days in office, went out of his way to tell the Muslim world, “America is not your enemy.” Frankly, they certainly don’t need us to wreak havoc – they seem to be doing quite nicely on their own.

Years ago, I saw a Law and Order episode where an Egyptian man is murdered because he hired an Egyptian doctor to perform female circumcision – castration – on his niece. He was murdered by the girl’s father, who was horrified that what was done to his wife was being planned for his daughter. This was in 1997, well before 9/11 and before most people knew what Sharia law is. I wonder if this episode would have been made today, what with anything critical of Islam being called out as being racist and **insensitive.

Not that I’m pro-Muslim or anything (I’m obviously not religious at all – and Islam is obviously a terribly flawed religion), but to pretend there aren’t Christians out there committing equally atrocious acts (in backwater African countries we never hear about on the news) is ignoring the facts.

I’m not sure whether this tells us something bad about religion (or Islam in particular), or whether it just tells us something about our human nature (and our potential for barbarism) we’d rather not own up to (and its easier to blame it on a religion, particularly someone elses religion) 🤷

Al-Hilali backed up his assertions with the writings of another Islamic scholar that place the blame on the woman: “If she had not left the meat uncovered, the cat wouldn’t have snatched it.”
We in the US have a little bit of this way of thinking. If you leave your keys in your car, and an underage kid decides to steal it for joyriding, you are legally responsible. The thinking is, “You helped the kid go wrong.”

Crime [in this case rape] doesn’t just “happen”; it is caused.

Ditto jakasaki’s comment on your font.

Please. Next we’ll get Clayton Williams quotes.

Contributing to the deliquency of a minor results from the attitude that the minor did not have the requisite faculty to determine that the joy ride with the car was wrong.

If you leave your keys in the car and adult steals it, they are completely at fault.

A woman who shows her wrists and ankles is no more ‘contributing’ to her rape than a woman in a bikini.

Rape is a crime of power

Who is pretending? What facts? That people are no damned good? What Christians do or what Christianity teaches is totally irrelevant [tu quoque fallacy] to the point being made by frantony, which is, any human being with an ounce of compassion and a sense of fairness would see the injustice in such a system. There is no need to drag Christianity down in some absurd attempt to mitigate the harshness of Islamic law.

Once again I am compelled to ask why you find it necessary to use the acts of some unnamed, alleged Christians as a yardstick to measure the justness of the laws of Islam and attempt to validate them by bringing Christianity down to their level. For once, just once, why don’t you use Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, Scientology, or whatever [even secularism]?

I didn’t say I agreed with that law.

There are more than 2.2 millions Christians living in Syria. Syria has been ruled by the Baath party since 1950. The Baath party also ruled Iraq until 2003. Christians have been living under the Baath rule in a fairly peaceful coexistence with others. If America repeats the same mistake done to Iraq and invade Syria, the violence will be unleashed against Syrian Christians similarly to what is happening in Iraq now to Iraqi Christians. And following the Iraq war, there were plans to invade Syria.

the Arab-Israeli wars put the Jews living in the Arab world in jeopardy and persecution and finally deportation . They were viewed as potential enemies. Another example is , any future war between Iran and other Arab countries will put the Shias living in predominantly Sunni countries in dangerous situation, probably concentration camps. similar (to a lesser degree) when Japan attacked Pearl Harbour.
So, let me if I follow this ‘logic’ Christians will always become human shields to and victims of terror from Muslims if America takes actions to defeat terrorism. Hmm, seems to me that this make the followers of Mahomet to be the real bad guys.

Your reasoning leads to the inevitable conclusion that no decent country can afford to have Muslims living in it else their non Muslim citizens become hostages to Islamic terror.

Ok. Easy answer. We outlaw Islam in every country that wishes to participate in the global economy. This is one action we could get support from both Russia and China on. No more protests, no more blown up Synagogues, no more terror. Just one or two countries that allow Islam would be packed full of Muslims free to do what they want, now they would need to be kept out of areas in these countries where global assets such as oil and archaeological treasures are located. We could do this with high voltage fencing and armed troops patrolling the border.

Hadi, you are brilliant! Finally, an answer to the biggest problems of the day.

Muslims get areas where they can do what they want, they can issue fatwas to their hardened little hearts content but no one has to listen. The rest of the world gets peace and a stable economy.

Win win situation! Someone call the U.N.!

Um, OK. Christian terrorists have murdered countless abortion doctors, bombed abortion clinics, terrorized, assaulted, and murdered clinic workers (if you like I can provide a listing of specific cases), the actions of the Catholic clergy in Rwanda, Christians in Nigeria who brutally torture and murder children accused of witchcraft (to date over 1,000 murdered, and 15,000 accused and tortured), etc.

Not much better than Islam.

Why would I possibly get involved in a discussion between Christians and Muslims and talk about Buddhists or Christian Scientists?

Every time I see your profile on reply posts I feel like breaking into song… 😃

I’m a Yankee Doodle Dandy - A Yankee Doodle, do or die

Yankee Doodle came to London - Just to ride the ponies
I am the Yankee Doodle Boy 😃

And now we return back to our scheduled thread…! 😛

I think we can agree that torture and murder, especially of children, are objectively immoral. Now with that statement as a yardstick, along with the subject question of this thread, “Why are so many Muslims violent?”, consider that they have taken credit for torture and murder, which establishes that they are violent [no one in this thread has yet noticed that its subject pre-supposes that they are violent]. It does not matter one hoot that “backwater African” Christians are equally or even more violent. That’s a separate question. The allegation [or even proof] that many Christians meet the objective definition of violence does not reduce or eliminate the guilt for the violence by the followers of the “Religion of Peace”, nor does it even address the question why they are so violent. Why can’t you see that?
Why would I possibly get involved in a discussion between Christians and Muslims and talk about Buddhists or Christian Scientists?
First of all, answering a question with a question is not considered good debate form. Be that as it may, comparison of Muslim actions with Christian actions cuts both ways. While Christians might commit immoral acts [e.g., above], they do so contrary to their founder’s principles; Muslims acting the same way do so in in direct obedience to their founder and his “holy” book.

If you are going to use another religion to measure Islamic violence, I think a third religion’s doctrine as a comparison/contrast would be informative from the perspective of adding another data point, if you insist on excusing the immoral actions of one by those of another. And it would also partially alleviate the appearance of your desire to tear down Christianity.

Why would Yankee Doodle want to do that, then, Sedonaman? It is his/her objective to tear down Christianity specifically! Did you somehow miss the signature, not to mention the post history of this poster?

Yankee is just another defender and propagandist of the “anything but Christianity” school of Atheism, which is just hatred of our faith dressed up as progressivism and free speech. Other atheists here have even gone so far as to agree with me, a Christian, in this assessment. YD makes all atheists look bad.

Millions of men, women, and children, since the introduction of ISLAM have been burnt, tortured, fined AS WITH THE DHIMMI TAX, BEHEADED, LIMBS CUT OFF, CRUCIFIED, imprisoned, PLACES OF WORSHIP BURNED TO THE GROUND, NUNS ATTACKED & KILLED, PRIESTS ATTACKED AND KILLED, CHRISTAN’S ATTACKED AND KILLED, THE POPE THREATENEND… ETC ETC. ETC… ALL FOR THE NAME OF ISLAM AND ALLAH AND MOHAMAD.

yet THEY MUSLIMS , ISLAM, have not advanced one inch towards uniformity BECAUSE THEY, WANT TO DOMINATE THE WORLD AND SUBMIT TO ISLAM/ALLAH & MOHAMAD.

What has been the effect of coercion & ISLAMIC TERRORISM?

To make one half of the world fools (I.E. 1+ BILLION OF ISLAM ARE THE FOOLS, and the other half, AHEM 2+ BILLION CHRISTIANS.

Let this be my last post on CAF if they, the Mods’ & Admin’s wish and have the desire to ban me for my uncharitable contribution to this mess with islam and Christianity, then so be it.

Christ Is Lord, islam and mohamad and the koran is False.

To the readers, I apologize for the CAPS, but in my mind it was necessary.

Murders

In the U.S., violence directed toward abortion providers has killed at least nine people, including five doctors, two clinic employees, a security guard, and a clinic escort.[5]
Code:
* March 10, 1993: Dr. David Gunn of Pensacola, Florida was fatally shot during a protest. He had been the subject of wanted-style posters distributed by Operation Rescue in the summer of 1992. Michael F. Griffin was found guilty of Dr. Gunn's murder and was sentenced to life in prison.
* July 29, 1994: Dr. John Britton and James Barrett, a clinic escort, were both shot to death outside of another facility in Pensacola. Rev. Paul Jennings Hill was charged with the killings, received a death sentence, and was executed September 3, 2003.
* December 30, 1994: Two receptionists, Shannon Lowney and Lee Ann Nichols, were killed in two clinic attacks in Brookline, Massachusetts. John Salvi, who prior to his arrest was distributing pamphlets from Human Life International,[6] was arrested and confessed to the killings. He died in prison and guards found his body under his bed with a plastic garbage bag tied around his head. Salvi had also confessed to a non-lethal attack in Norfolk, Virginia days before the Brookline killings.
* January 29, 1998: Robert Sanderson, an off-duty police officer who worked as a security guard at an abortion clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, was killed when his workplace was bombed. Eric Robert Rudolph, who was also responsible for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Park bombing, was charged with the crime and received two life sentences as a result.
* October 23, 1998: Dr. Barnett Slepian was shot to death at his home in Amherst, New York. His was the last in a series of similar shootings against providers in Canada and northern New York state which were all likely committed by James Kopp. Kopp was convicted of Dr. Slepian's murder after finally being apprehended in France in 2001.
* May 31, 2009: Dr. George Tiller was shot and killed as he served as an usher at his church in Wichita, Kansas.[7]
Another doctor, George Patterson, was shot and killed in Mobile, Alabama on August 21, 1993, but it is uncertain whether his death was the direct result of his profession or rather a robbery.[8]
[edit] Attempted murder, assault, and threats

According to statistics gathered by the National Abortion Federation (NAF), an organization of abortion providers, since 1977 in the United States and Canada, there have been 17 attempted murders, 383 death threats, 153 incidents of assault or battery, and 3 kidnappings committed against abortion providers.[9] The attempted murders were:[5][10][11]
Code:
* August 19, 1993: Dr. George Tiller was shot outside of an abortion facility in Wichita, Kansas. Shelley Shannon was charged with the crime and received an 11-year prison sentence (20 years were later added for arson and acid attacks on clinics).
* July 29, 1994: June Barret was shot in the same attack which claimed the lives of James Barrett, her husband, and Dr. John Britton.
* December 30, 1994: Five individuals were wounded in the same-day shootings which killed Shannon Lowney and Lee Ann Nichols.
* October 28, 1997: Dr. David Gandell of Rochester, New York was injured by flying glass when a shot was fired through the window of his home.[12]
* January 29, 1998: Emily Lyons, a nurse, was severely injured in the bombing which also killed Robert Sanderson.
not done yet …

[edit] Anthrax threats

The first letters claiming to contain anthrax were mailed to U.S. clinics in October 1998, a few days after the Slepian shooting, and since then, there have been a total of 655 such bioterror threats made against abortion providers. None of the “anthrax” in these cases was real.[10][13]
Code:
* November 2001: After the genuine 2001 anthrax attacks, Clayton Waagner mailed hoax letters containing a white powder to 554 clinics. Waagner was convicted of 51 charges relating to the anthrax scare on December 3, 2003.
[edit] Arson, bombing, and property crime

According to NAF, since 1977 in the United States and Canada, property crimes committed against abortion providers have included 41 bombings, 173 arsons, 91 attempted bombings or arsons, 619 bomb threats, 1630 incidents of trespassing, 1264 incidents of vandalism, and 100 attacks with butyric acid (“stink bombs”).[9] The first clinic arson occurred in Oregon in March 1976 and the first bombing occurred in February 1978 in Ohio.[14] More recent incidents have included:[5]
Code:
* December 25, 1984: An abortion clinic and two physicians' offices in Pensacola, Florida were bombed in the early morning of Christmas Day by a quartet of young people (Matt Goldsby, Jimmy Simmons, Kathy Simmons, Kaye Wiggins) who later called the bombings "a gift to Jesus on his birthday."[15][16][17]
* October 1999: Martin Uphoff set fire to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, causing US$100 worth of damage. He was later sentenced to 60 months in prison.[18]
* May 28, 2000: An arson at a clinic in Concord, New Hampshire on resulted in damage estimated at US$20,000. The case remains unsolved.[19]
* September 30, 2000: A Catholic priest drove his car into the Northern Illinois Health Clinic after learning that the FDA had approved the drug RU-486. He pulled out an ax before being shot at by a security guard.[20]
* June 11, 2001: An unsolved bombing at a clinic in Tacoma, Washington destroyed a wall, resulting in US$6000 in damages.[18]
* July 4, 2005: A clinic Palm Beach, Florida was the target of an arson. The case remains open.[18]
* December 12, 2005: Patricia Hughes and Jeremy Dunahoe threw a Molotov cocktail at a clinic in Shreveport, Louisiana. The device missed the building and no damage was caused. In August 2006, Hughes was sentenced to six years in prison, and Dunahoe to one year. Hughes claimed the bomb was a “memorial lamp” for an abortion she had had there.[21]
* September 13, 2006 David McMenemy of Rochester Hills, Michigan crashed his car into the Edgerton Women's Care Center in Davenport, Iowa. He then doused the lobby in gasoline and then started a fire. McMenemy committed these acts in the belief that the center was performing abortions, however Edgerton is not an abortion clinc.[22]
* April 25, 2007: A package left at a women's health clinic in Austin, Texas contained an explosive device capable of inflicting serious injury or death. A bomb squad detonated the device after evacuating the building. Paul Ross Evans (who had a criminal record for armed robbery and theft) was found guilty of the crime.[23]
* May 9, 2007: An unidentified person deliberately set fire to a Planned Parenthood clinic in Virginia Beach, Virginia.[24]
* December 6, 2007: Chad Altman and Sergio Baca were arrested for the arson of Dr. Curtis Boyd's clinic in Albuquerque. Altman’s girlfriend had scheduled an appointment for an abortion at the clinic.[25]
* January 22, 2009 Matthew L. Derosia, 32, who was reported to have had a history of mental illness [26] rammed a SUV into the front entrance of a Planned Parenthood clinic in St. Paul, Minnesota.[27]

Atheism isn’t a religion, we all think in vastly different ways. We only claim religion is not true, and we all have our own approach to it.

Christianity is religion in America, and I think it makes us a dumber country.

Moreover, I do believe the CC is the worse example of Christianity, because it has gotten away with so much in history (right up to today, where it shielded and even enabled thousands or child predators who homosexually raped hundreds of thousands of young boys).

Furthermore I think every single observing Catholic is in a small way culpable for these crimes, because they fund and otherwise support this organization who has never really been made to account for its horrendous crimes.
