Why are so many people struggling with their sexual identification and orientation?

This is a role play game and a social activity. It is not generally something associated with someone sexually identifying with being an anthropomorphic fox or whatever. Or if they do, it’s for fantasy purposes - they aren’t going to go have an operation to try to become a fox.

Or, to put it another way, it’s like every other social/ con activity: some people are nice normal folks who enjoy having fun by dressing up as a rabbit or Darth Vader for a weekend, others are messed-up folks who have weird fantasies connected with being a rabbit or Darth Vader or who actually mentally think they are a rabbit or Darth Vader.

But I’ll be at work, and they’ll be at school with teachers and peers… What if they are more susceptible to peer pressure?
 
I thought Fr. Hardin said we weren’t going to blame mothers any more. And uf you are getting this from Nicolosi then I have to say he was wildly speculating. He acted like he knew so he could impose his method of therapy on unsuspecting clients.
Also, about the dad’s: Doesn’t follow with a number if LGBTQ+ people I know and they resent the inaccurate picture of their families. Nicolosi required a narrative that painted a poor relationship with one patent or both that actually hurt the real relationship.

It could also be something as simple as, “I like dressing up in a costume and going to a party.”
 
Children need a parent for the first few years, at all costs.
And as Pope JPII said, more than creature comforts the most important and helpful thing we can give our children are brothers and sisters.

The “work” (interplay, self control, sharing, delay of gratification, etc) that comes from living with siblings serves the person for their entire lifetime.
 
I unintentionally deleted the part in which I add fathers to Dr. Hardon’s comment. In was supposed to lead into my comment about Nicolosi’s speculations on what causes homosexuality, and other para-sexualities.

There are a lot of seriously twisted things out there.

White genocide groups. Extreme racism. Children being encouraged to feel insecure about their own gender and worse.

Some conspiracy theorists like to call it the push for the ‘new world order’ and despite what people might think about that ideology or ‘idea’ in general - Globalism is a real political idea.

One that really only works if you undermine culture, religion born of that culture and anything that formerly formed its backbone (such a Christian values).

Whilst not all western leaders adhere to the craziness of the aforementioned hate groups; they do eventually come together by way of ‘bandwagoning’.

Take for example how many left wing politicians thrive on support from LGBT and feminist groups. They adopt a ‘enemy of my enemy is my friend’ stance, in order to reach critical diplomatic mass.

This puts them at odds the with opposite. The right wing and more conservative people are subsequently attached to Christian fundamentalist groups more often than not - because it gives them a similar diplomatic clout at the voting table. The likes of which may include anti-abortion fronts and so forth.

Anything that is ‘anti-liberal’.

With this ‘clumping’ of various groups considered; it’s not hard to see why these strange agendas pop into the mainstream. It’s much like advertising; if you want support you have to promote people’s ideas.

And believe me there are ALOT of people who want to destroy the entire concept of gender in order to feel good about themselves.

They are also amongst the number of people behind the removal of Christian assembly in schools, revisionist history lessons in that same vein - and much, much more.

In this country (uk) I’m now expected to call out for a police officer if a man performs a ‘gender-hate crime’ by wolf whistling at me.

That’s only the tip of a major wave of different things that seeks to break the very fabric of gender, gender roles in society and ultimately sexuality. They want to create gays and homosexuals to further justify the cause (another thing that is actually fact, as it’s come up in the newspaper about people praying for Prince George to grow up gay).

I wish I was joking. But search around the net yourself and join the dots. There so far too much out there now to not notice it.
 
And there are stories of people who engage in sexual activity while dressed this way.

Yes, I’m aware there are stories, entire forums of people writing furry sex fiction, and pictures of them doing it. I didn’t just fall off the turnip truck yesterday. I also know people and know of people who go to an occaional furry event and are not engaging in that sort of activity. It’s kind of like when I go to a rock concert, there are people there getting drunk, picking up sex partners at the bar, and possibly doing strange things in the bathroom. And there are a whole lot of other people there who perhaps went to see the show.

Don’t judge everybody by the fact that some are having sex as part of their activities. I could find people having sex at an office party.

Who’s judging? Furry activities are relatively new to most people. I know a guy who goes to Furry Cons but not to dress up like some cartoon animal.

Eh, I’ve been seeing furries all over the internet since at least 2002 and my husband’s employer, which is a conservative defense company on the East Coast (and not in NYC), had one in his office for a while who asked and was granted permission to come to work in her fursuit because it made her feel more comfortable to be working in the office dressed as a bunny.
 
I didn’t mean for this thread to be about furries, it was just one example of the topic that immediately came to mind from my personal experience.

There seem to be a lot in tech because
almost every furry I started following on Twitter was working in a in a related field. Only later did I figure out the furry connection as their tweets rarely mentioned that.
