In the beginning we know that GOD created the earth and all that is in it. He made the stars, divided the water from the earth, created the moon and the sun, and HE did this all in 6 days.

We also know that GOD is perfect, and what HE creates must come from Perfection, because HE cannot create anything else.

Genesis 3 we learn about the creation of imperfection as well as what human nature is.

Genesis 3:1-13
1 Now the snake was the most cunning animal that the LORD GOD had made. The snake asked the woman, “did GOD really tell you not to eat the fruit from any tree in the garden?
2. We may eat the fruit of any tree in the garden, the woman answered
3 except the tree in the middle of it. GOD told us not to eat the fruit of that tree or even touch it, if we do we will die.
4 The snake replied, “that’s not true you will not die. [lie]
5 GOD said that because HE knows that when you eat it, you will be like GOD, and know what is good and what is bad. [trickery, deceit]
6 The woman saw how beautiful the tree was and how good its fruit would be to eat and she thought how wonderful it would be to become wise. [tempted, doubt, lack of trust in GOD, greed] so she took some of the fruit and ate it. [disobedient] Then she gave some to her husband and he also ate it. [Adam also showed doubt and lack of trust in GOD,]
7. As soon as they had eaten it, they were given understanding and they realized that they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and covered themselves.
8. That evening they heard the LORD GOD walking in the garden, and they hid [fear] from HIM among the trees.
9 But the Lord GOD called out the man, Where are you?
10 He answered I heard you in the garden, I was afraid and hid from you because I was naked. [shame, guilty]
11 Who told you that you were naked? GOD asked, did you eat the fruit that I told you not to eat?
12 The man answered, The woman you put here with me gave me the fruit and I ate it. [blame, lack of responsibility]
13 The LORD GOD asked the woman, Why did you do this? She replied, “The snake tricked me into eating it. [blame lack of trust, doubt, lack of responsibility]

So we learn that satan created imperfection, as well as the attributes of Human nature, which is fear, doubt, shame, guilt, lack of responsibility
Disobedience, and greed, etc.

Matthew 16:23 Jesus told Peter, get away from me satan, you are an obstacle in my way, because these thoughts of yours don’t come from GOD but from human nature.

So Jesus rebuked “human nature”.

Paul writes in Romans 8:6,8 To be controlled by human nature results in death; to be controlled by the Spirit results in life and peace.
8 Those who obey their human nature cannot please GOD.

I don’t understand the purpose of this thread. Are you trying to start a thread on the meaning of human nature?

The nature of this Thread is to show that GOD did not create imperfection, and to point out what exactly human nature is.

and yes, to start a new discussion

I don’t really see the relevance of the contents of the OP to the headline?
But to answer the question of the headline: There are not two creations. If further explanation is wanted, I’ll be happy to provide it. If this is just another spam-thread, I’m going to withdraw from it…

This is not spam, this is truth. I don’t know what spam is.

To say that there is not 2 creations is saying that GOD is imperfect, and HE is not imperfect.

There are not two creations. There was one creation. Genesis describes it differently in one place from another. God is perfect. Man is not.

This is not spam, this is truth. I don’t know what spam is.

To say that there is not 2 creations is saying that GOD is imperfect, and HE is not imperfect.
What is the reasoning for claiming that there are two creations?
I know what my reasoning is for claiming that there aren’t, but I want to know your reasoning before I debunk it…

Furthermore, I don’t know where the “God is imperfect if there aren’t two creations” came into the picture. It makes no sense.

GOD is Perfect, therefore HE cannot create imperfection.

In Genesis chapter 3 you learn that satan created imperfection through his actions with Eve and Adam. The imperfections are what is called 'human nature", as I pointed out.

There are two creation stories in Gen Chap. 1 and 2.

Thank you Valke2, don’t forget Genesis 3 also.

Chapter 1 tells teh story of creation

Chapter 2 tells the story of creation.

Two creation stories.

Chapter 1 tells teh story of creation

Chapter 2 tells the story of creation.

Two creation stories.
But not two SEPERATE and opposite stories that contradict eachother. Therefore, it is fair to say that it is the same story from two different angles.

Satan did no such thing!
Man did, through succumbing to satan’s temptations. But the story of the Fall is not a second creation-story. It is the story of how the world that WAS created went south. There’s a big difference!

Chapter 3 also tells a story of creation. The Creation of Imperfection, which GOD cannot create.

But not two SEPERATE and opposite stories that contradict eachother. Therefore, it is fair to say that it is the same story from two different angles.
But there are contradictions and they focus on different aspects of Creation. It seems likely that they are written by two different authors.

I’ve read Genesis a few times but I haven’t seen Satan mentioned.

IF satan did not approach Eve and deceive her, the world would still be Perfect.

Had Eve trusted in GOD, she would not have been deceived.

Deceit came first (satan) then the disobedience.

the snake is satan.
