I was talking to a friend from school today. She worked at a girl’s summer camp in July this year. I was asking about her experiences there. She casualy remarked that while she was there two of the campers, girls 9-12 years old, were caught having sex!
12 years old at the most!
Another friend of mine told me that his younger brother (13) was found in his grade school fondling another boy from a younger grade (I think I did see something about this in the local paper a year or so ago).
Look at these ages! This is just plain disgusting! What is wrong here? Why are these children (young children!) having homosexual experiences? Why do they even know about this?
Dear God, this is a sick society we are in
Sick - yes, but not very surprising in light of many factors. A few off the top of my head:
(1) Absent and uninterested parents;
(2) absence of positive mature masculine male role models (we used to call them “fathers”)(this affects both boys and girls);
(3) sex education in schools promoting sexual experimentation and homosexuality in particular;
(4) Media obsessed with sexual promiscuity, homosexuality and immoral behavior, and most people including children obsessed/overwhelmed with the media;
(5) videos/video games/internet plagued with sexual images and narratives of every kind including homosexuality;
(6) a generation (baby boomers) which has set the worst moral example of public and private behavior (sexual promiscuity, drug use, etc.) for subsequent generations including their children, grandchildren and so on of any generation in history (and many continue to do so, unfortunately);
(7) very easy access to mind altering drugs to reduce inhibitions;
(8) lack of authority structure in children’s lives - home, school - and a lack of responsibility placed on children, both giving them too much free time/opportunity to look for “cheap thrills”;
(9) ignorance of the dangerous health consequences of such behavior especially if carried on into adulthood, a condition in no way alleviated by our education system;
(10) a selfish self-indulgent society which encourages such behavior; and,
(11) a general lack of immaturity which although expected in children is no longer a condition controlled by positive influences in any of the other areas referred to above.
I am sure there are many more factors to add to this list.
