Why are there two versions of the Ten Commandments for Catholics and Protestants?

why are there a Catholic version, and a protestant version of the ten commandments?:confused:
 
The difference has to do with the making of graven images. Protestants list it as a separate commandment and the Catholic tradition has seen such a prohibition as part of the 1st Commandment (“Thou shalt not worship false gods”).
