Some of the answers to this post think that it is posing the idea that reality is not reality, but something our minds have generated and therefore not real.
Reality is there, of course it is there, but our minds can create different versions of reality depending on our experience, and our preferences and our prejudices.
How many times have you walked down the same street and then suddenly discovered something that was always there?
How long does it take you to discover something that has changed?
Do you think that something is bad or dangerous or good only because that is what you have always believed or have been told?

What is your perception of God? Is He what the nuns and priests at school told you He was or is your perception based on your own experiences?
Reality is different for everybody, because of the layers and colours we place onto it. If we get rid of this ‘illusion’ then we will see what is really there. We will see God in His glory, and not the reflection of ourselves.
