I’ve always heard that Anglican priests and bishops are not validly ordained in the way Catholic and Orthodox bishops are. That is, they do not have any genuine power to invoke the Sacraments, and other things only valid priests can do.
So why don’t Anglican clerics have a valid, sacramental priesthood?
And why do the Orthodox?
