Why can Catholics receive at SSPX but not Orthodox?

It’s been a while since I took the SATs, but I think we could set up this analogy,
SSPX:Catholicism = UAOC:Orthodoxy

Your teacher, who uses Common Core, marked your analogy “Korrect”.

Consider that there are some RC priests who are currently unable to offer public Masses. Some of them are in SSPX, some are in other groups unrelated to the Latin Mass, and some are free-lance, perhaps they started up their own chapel which may or may not have the TLM. Let’s say all of these priests might potentially receive faculties to offer public Masses, but so far, none have.

It doesn’t matter much whether they are, at the moment, in SSPX or other. All are under an Ordinary who they currently disregard. It is the “irregularity” of the priest, not this or that organization he happens to belong to today, which makes it imprudent to attend his Mass, if he chooses to defy his (and your) Ordinary on this.

With Orthodox churches it is a different situation.
