I have been a Christian since my teens and not a Catholic yet.
I live in very emotional abusive married relationship.
My Catholic neighbor who knows both of us has been teaching me about the Catholic faith and I have learned the Rosary and prayers to the saints. Over two years we have walked for exercise in a residential neighborhood. This is a normal practice for everyone here. Have been using precious medal and praying various Novenas. She invited to my local Eucharist Adoration chapel. I love it there and I feel the presence of Jesus. Been there six months now.
My Baptist family does not approve of my Catholic interest. But I am abused and seek teachings dealing with demonic practices here.

However the man who runs the prayer sessions and is not a priest, told my friend to not walk with me or pray the Rosary with me out walking.
He says I’m guilty of being friends with a creature? Also within the group which communicates with emails, the leader will never respond to mine. He says he is too busy.
I am very hurt. I thought I would find encouragement and fellowship there.
Most important, this is probably the only chance I will have becoming Catholic.
I am not Baptized. They will not Baptize me unless I become Catholic. But I guess because I have this abusive home, I’m not a good applicant. However, I am a very Godly man in my entire lifestyle.
  1. Am I not supposed to attend the chapel because I’m not Catholic.
  2. Is it common to forbid friendship between Catholics and possible future Catholics?
  3. I have always been a extremely moral person and have shown the highest respect to Catholic customs. I have never ever been involved in an inappropriate relationship with anyone period.
In my time of need they took away the only friend I had who was trying to help us out. This is extremely painful for me. I just don’t understand this?
