Why can't I take communion at an Episcopal church?

I know as a Catholic we are not to take communion in other churches. I’m not questioning it, as in I want to, I just need a short and sweet answer to give to my mother this weekend, when my family attends her Episcopal church with her. Why can a Catholic not take communion in an Episcopal church?

Well, a short answer would be, “Because I’m Catholic.” A somewhat more complete answer would be, “Catholics believe that receiving communion is a sign and privilege of membership in a church. Since I am a Catholic, I only receive Communion in the Catholic Church.”
