The Vatican has said it is permissible to financially contribute to the Society of St. Pius X and also that attending Mass at an SSPX chapel fulfills the Sunday obligation (and this was before the lifting of the excommunications). Now that the “excommunications” were lifted, and the SSPX has not changed their disagreements with Vatican II, why would anyone say a Catholic should not attend Mass at an SSPX chapel?
