Um, my BFF was in the CCR back in the early 1970s. I am familiar with the term and the group.

As for the sarcasm, I’ve been trying to tone that done in my own life. . .derision, mockery, etc. being things I struggle with, so I don’t need any extra.

Your post made me think of I Corinthians 13:1 ‘‘If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.’’

Yes, the manifestations of the Holy Spirit are many, but the greatest gift of all is love. So I can go from church to church, or even from denomination to denomination seeking visions, prophecy, speaking in tongues, but the greatest gift and the greatest manifestation of the Holy Spirit is evidenced by the love that church members have for each other. And that should be found in every church that really has the Spirit of God living within its walls.
