Why did God allow the Reformation?

Of course by “Christian Church” you mean the Catholics, and then the Protestants who separated from her. We are all Christians. . .
 
In the Old Testament, the Jews wanted a human King. As punishment, God gave them Saul.

In the New, whenever people rebel against Him, God gives them their human authority. Protestants weren’t the first. But they too rebelled against God and now are ruled by rebellious men who continuously rebel and divide. Thats what they wanted, thats what they have received.
