With all the talk about Global Warming and Climate Change and the harm it will do to us…
Dinosaurs are reptiles, they reproduced by eggs. We know by seeing some living reptiles (crocodiles and turtles) that the sex of their offspring is set by the temperature surrounding the egg. In crocs, warmer temperature produces males and cooler produces females, and the opposite happens with turtles. What impact could have a glacial age or global warming on the dinos if the sex of their offspring was set by temperature? Either way, one sex would be more prevalent than the other causing no offspring in the process. This could have been what happened. I’m not saying that’s what happened, but you see, there are many explanations around the extinction of the dinos, and this is one more we have to think about.
