i was reading the catholic ansers forums about Why did God create dinosaurs. and all the ansers were wrong… at age 18 i got the roman catholic bible and read the whole old testament till i was 21… and i know i saw the part in there where god made the beast to punnish man… or beheemoths. - beast… one of them…

So we can all be on the same page, which passage says God made the beast to punish man?

For the oil.
I have to admit, I chuckled at this one a little bit.

Then again, it would be, if nothing else, interesting to see what the world would have been like without oil. We refine so many of our products from crude oil, not just fuel. Rubbers, polymers, plastics, the list goes on and on.

Like the other poster Marco I would like you to tell us which passage in the Bible you are referring to. Not much point in asking us to debate something you read when you have not given us the passage so we can read it for ourselves and then comment.

**Why did God create dinosaurs???

The same reason He created you, Because He could!!!

By the way, a little advice, If you are going to be so bold( some would say ignorant & arrogant) as to say “i was reading the catholic ansers and all the ansers were wrong.” at least spell “answers” correctly!

Sancta Maria, mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!

Why did God create dinosaurs? Because he did. If you presume that God must explain himself, you’re going to be sorely disappointed. The Bible is a love story between God and humans. The history included is for an understanding of our failures, joys, and His grace. It’s not as an explanation of everything God does. You could ask yourself, “why did God create Satan when He knew what would happen?”. God loved Lucifer and created him out of love and service. It was Lucifer that spurned God’s love. Looking at the many actions of humans, it’s easier to wonder why God created and loves us so. We surely don’t deserve His love, yet He does eternally. I’m just thankful He did create us and loves us as He does. I don’t need to know why.
God didn’t feel it was important to share every detail of His plan. Our part is to trust in His wisdom and follow what He gives us. Maybe someday He’ll share with us the reasons for the age of dinosaurs. He left us plenty to do in the meantime.

Where is the OP? He started the thread and we have asked for the Bible passage he is referring to but nothing but silence. Does he want anwers to his question or not??

I believe the thread’s author might be referring to Job 40:15-24. Could be wrong, though.

I think God created dinosaurs for the same reason he created all the other animals - for mankind to have dominion over them (Genesis 1:26). And this purpose remains today.

Man and dinosaurs did not exist at the same time.

“God created everything for man, but man in turn was created to serve and love God and to offer all creation back to Him:” Paragraph 358, Catechism of the Catholic Church. Use this handy link

These two websites contain TV ads about Catholicism. The first is from one of the Dioceses which is using them. The second is general information.

BUT Thistle suggest that Truth Seeker and scripture are wrong. He (she} says that man and dinosaur did NOT exist at the same time. So who’s right? Well let’s see what modern research science has to say:)

In a recent book published and released on November 6, 2009 by the National Research Council of Italy entitled, “Evolutionism: The Decline of an Hypothesis” there is a report by a number of scientists that dinosaurs and man have indeed coexisted based on C-14 dating of dinosaur femur bone collagen from Montana. They repeated the testing on dinosaur bioapatite and obtained concordant C-14 ages all in the range of 23,000 to 30,000 C-14 years. Thus those alleged 65,000,000 to 225 million years since dinosaurs supposedly became extinct perhaps only exist in the minds of some men. 😃

There are even fossil dinosaur and human footprints together, discovered in a river bottom and pristine ones under tons of rocks and just recently confirmed by cat-scan of the Delk footprint.

Truth Seeker and Thistle et al. might like to visit www.dinosaurandman.org to view the many distinct dinosaur depictions World-Wide that archaeologists have found. Also visit www.dinosaurc14ages.com for details of the C-14 dating and further critique of unreliable radioactive decay methods of dating and end up with www.earthage.com
Perhaps even C-14 dating may give way too old ages based on the fact of the many realistic dinosaur depictions over the past 500 to 3,000 years ago.

Oh Yes, NASA scientists have discovered that one of the moons of Jupiter, Titan I think, may have more hydrocarbons (source of our oil) than all that is in the earth so dinosaurs may not have contributed one drop of oil to our fleet of cars. Perhaps since NASA has also suggested that there may have been a massive flood at one time on Mars then perhaps there may have been one on earth as well — see

I believe that scripture is truly history and science is slowly coming around to find evidence such as the above that the six days of creation could be as true as the church fathers argue as well as God’s way to teach us how to love and get to heaven. For a Catholic view of Creation and what the church fathers have to say go to www.kolbecenter.org

You are absolutely right, God does not have to explain Himself. But we curious humans always want to try to explain everything.
Maybe to spur us on to a sense of awe and wonder. What terrific creatures they were, and I don’t just mean terrifying. They give us a chance to stretch our imaginations to imagine what they were truly like alive. That’s part of my job - to get children to use their knowledge of living animals and stretch it to things that no one has ever seen alive.
And know that God created us to know Him in all His wonder.

God created dinosaurs so we can have all that necessary crude oil for fuel. 😉

Hi Folks:)
I just wanted to respond to this question.
Why did God create dinosaurs, how can we be sure that dinosaurs really excist?
I mean, When reading the Bible, does it not say that the Earth was a formless wasteland?
But reading on, the humans were like us, they thought and talked with God all the time.
And let me go forward just a bit. Jesus told his deciples to not trust human wisdom and understanding, because it is foolishness to God. I have read the Bible and there is no indication that dinosaurs excisted. If you can prove to me that they did excist, please let me know.
But I for one, are grateful that they do not excist. There wouldn’t be anyone on Earth!
Thanks
Callime

Because he loved them.
I don’t find that hard to imagine. Just imagine the world filling up with all those creatures … I don’t mean to be silly about this but I can’t help thinking of creation as god playing sims or spore. So. Much. Fun.
