Why did God make some people more sensitive than others?

More likely the question should be what familial/life experiences make people more (or less) sensitive than others.

I feel God made us capable of sensitivity, life defines to what levels we are sensitive.

A great deal of it can be explain by neuropsychology, too.
To put it simply, it’s the way their brains are hardwired, plus the chemicals in our bodies.

Not only are we spiritual beings, we are chemical beings, too.

I agree with you, Marie. I was born extremely sensitive, it’s just the way I am.
Unfortunately, I became the prey to many bullies growing up. Also, unfortunately, whenever I was depressed, my mother took on a just snap out of it attitude.

I can be pretty sensitive and often think life would be easier if I had thicker skin. I think we have to work with our character rather than try to work against it but I think anyone can learn to be more resilient.

These are downfalls people can easily hurt you or push your buttons for entertainment. I am sorry. I wonder why God makes us more or less sensitive. Some people say environment. That also depends. Having a difficult life generally makes people tougher. It would be cool if most people were relaxed and even keeled. That is not life.

I don’t see sensitivity as a negative. A truly sensitive person is usually tuned into the feelings or nuances of others not just themselves. It is a gift.

Anyone can state they are sensitive, and a clue that they are not is that the sensitivity is usually directed toward themselves and not outwards.

Yes, a good way to put it 🙂

I have said before I notice a “arrogance” in certain sensitive people in that all things revolve around them. That being the negative more… self serving false sensitivity.

Whereas empathy and caring and maybe even hurting on behalf of others is more in line with a positive sensitivity from a personality standpoint 🙂

I really do not know what you mean
When refering to sensitivity as to how humans hurt us ie: he said I suck.

When I stand on my own being told I suck hurts more.

When I stand with God that guyho said I suck is insignificant.

Even powerful self arrogance cannot truly wipe away the effects of other humans, only with God can such things not matter.

Think of it this way

“Say you suck or I kill you”

Okay, I suck

Or

“Say God does or I kill you”

Bye.

Few are arrogant enough to stand a martyr for their own self worship, yet we fear not when we stand with God.

The same logic transcends to someone calling us a poopoohead. Without God it is ouchies and I need an emotional bandaid. With God I pity the name caller for they know not what they do.

some are just naturally more or less sensitive than others. I do not know if I believe that belief in God somehow makes you fully immune from pain caused by others. Maybe you will honestly care less. Jesus sweat blood before his crucifixion in the garden. What does that say about fear? Christ was fully human yet God. Sure there were martyrs who did not fear death when it came. That may not be true for the rest of us, does that mean we are less closer to God if we still fear death or are hurt by the doings of other humans. Saints have often displayed heroic courage. The French priest who was martyred said, go away Satan.

Christ was referred to as the man of sorrow because he was despised and rejected by many. Isaiah.

There is IMO a difference. I can trust God but that doesnt mean if I see a rattlesnake I am going to walk over to pet it. God never said “hey go be dumb”

But there is a difference and lines coould be debated as much as we can debate lwvel of belief.

I spoke to someone once who ad no issue believing God was real, she however did not understand how to love God. She didn’t understand how God could love her.

I on the other hand almost completely understood God and His love. I just struggled intellectually. It made for good convo seeing eachothers point.

But it is not to know God’s love and deny His exostence tbat gives one closeness.

It is not knowing that God exists and not understanding Him that yields closeness either.

It is the 2 combined that leans toward this. When the person can constantly question God’s motives IMO it gives a clear indication of that distance.

Idk how ti totally explain certain things and we all struggle with some finer points… but if you think the idea of you favorite loved one going to Hell is sad and you can honestly be annoyed in some fashion to God that it could hapoen you are not there.

To submit to His will totally is something more powerful than anyrthing ymone could fathom.

Sre you can have the simple human emotion of “aww I’d have liked they go to heaven” that in the sense of happening upon a rattlesnake in the here and now reaction.

But intellectually to not be scared in general, to kniw that you probably will see the smake with tine to move OR that if you go just then it is as it is and you will get to see God and be subject to His will.

If you can lament in a form of anguish as to why God made you this/that… you have not likely submitted to His will.

Sure if God cane down and asked me how I want made I want to be a virtual Adonis meets Einstein with never ending luck … I am not lol. I am me as He chose and that is in and of itself 100000000px better than the above. I don’t know every angle for which He does what He does, but I know that as I am is that much better than if I were what I would make me. Simply if for no other reason than bc it is what He wants.
