Why did God make ugly people?

Mother Theresa wasn’t much to look at, but what a beautiful person, really.

I’ve watched some older movies lately and noticed that the movie stars, while younger and more conventionally beautiful, had something missing from their faces: character. They’re just not that interesting.
When they grew older, especially if they are decent people, their faces acquire character and they look much better to me.

And haven’t you noticed that beautiful people all look pretty much alike? Blank slates, with perfect noses, eyes and mouths, and salon-done hair. Boring.
As the above poster said, give me Mother Theresa any day. Or someone who has lived awhile.

Well, you can be attractive + have ‘character’. It isn’t mutually exclusive.

I wouldn’t say beautiful people look alike. I know physically beautiful people of different races and ages. beauty isn’t ‘blonde hair, blue eyes, size 2’ anymore, so I don’t think it’s boring. just my opinion.

but the thing that keeps coming to my head whenever I read threads like this is that, yes, maybe people will notice others with ‘quirks’, but they are usually not ugly. Maybe plain. but nobody is ever going to pick a girl with a funny looking eye or a deformed face over a a gorgeous or a plain looking girl (assuming that they have an exact same personality, both love god, etc).

It’s the harsh reality, and I just got to accept that 🤷

Physical beauty is a human judgement.

Be who God created you to be, embrace it, and you will set the world on fire.-(-St.Catherine of Sienna)🙂
