Why did Hollywood and the entertainment industry have to be ruined for the rest of us?

That’s why, pre-1970, most films were worth watching.
Maybe the films were, but their treatment of actors sure wasn’t. Forcing actresses to have abortions, not allowing them to marry—doesn’t sound very pro-Christian to me. 🤨

We are talking about the so-called “Entertainment Industry,” and not about their internal practices which the public was kept in the dark about. 1950s scandal magazines like CONFIDENTIAL don’t count.

My sources are not scandal magazines, also it is prudent to assess an industry on more than just their output—clothing is great, but it being manufactured in sweatshops that employ/enslave people not so much. Just because the movies may have been more tasteful, doesn’t make the employment conditions irrelevant. The employment was under severe duress.

Yeah, which is why I think it would’ve been nicer to grow up in the past. I’m also not a radical traditionalist either, but it must’ve been a lot better than the PC culture and censorship today that is going to be on perpetually as long as the ownership of media stays the same.

I want to be honest, I know that God gave everyone “free will”, but I just wish he would some way indirectly or inspire a reset to a certain era in the past and we can start again.
