the rape of a man and the rape of a woman are both horrific crimes which have devastating impacts on their victims, and we know that there is no point in trying to weigh one against the other.
The weighing done by a previous poster (Which included masturbation vs rape of a woman) was flawed in that he only compared the two acts by a single type of measure. In no way could that single measure comprehensively compare those two acts - either in principle or in the real world.

Which is why your arguments against abortion will always fall on deaf ears. You don’t appreciate the position of those with whom you argue.

Rule 1: Always attempt to understand the position of your opponent.
And after having understood it, then what?

Argue against it. Rather than argue against what you think he believes. And start by finding common ground. That’s Rule 2.

Ok, if you think the saints are wrong.

I recommend reading them, because pretty much every doctor of the church and saint covers this and believes it was real.

I’m of the mind that we shouldn’t remake God so that other people like Him more. He is Truth. Some people reject it.

You don’t remake God. God is what He is (and I’m accepting that He exists just for the purpose of this exchange). The only thing that changes is one’s interpretation of what God is. So much so that the standard answer I give when I am asked why I don’t believe in God is ‘Which one?’ Meaning ‘which God do you believe in?’

You obviously believe in a God that will destroy a city which includes innocent children because He felt that the occupants were irredeemably immoral. Mess with me? Then see what happens!

Others here do not believe in that God. They believe in a different God. If I were considering becoming a Christian then I would reject yours.

Those who reject the God I am explaining reject the Catholic God

Are you suggesting that Catholics are meant to read the bible literally?

I’m sure that you will find commentary that will suggest that Genesis is literally true or that Noah built an ark. What does one do in those circumstances?

And commentary that suggests those stories are allegorical? How do you choose?
