Why did the church punish Melinda Gates?

Melinda Gates has achieved a lot and she has great capacity to use her talents to help the less fortunate. Why did the Catholic Church make her suffer so much with public information that she was denied communion?
 
Huh? How do you “privately” deny abortion? Was it an official Church proclamation, or did haters blurt it out? What about the babies killed in the womb? What about the mothers who carry the guilt of abortion for the rest of their lives? They carry the living DNA of those aborted babies in their bodies and that DNA will testify against them at their judgment.

Methinks you should tune out the media - which hates Christ.
